What a great background color you have !! Damm looks great (the red light with the yellow one)

Thank you! I appreciate it. IT took some time to figure out what to do with my background, but I did what I could with limited space!

If you look at Movos promotional video of this mic (on KZbin) you will notice at the 3:11 mark they have both the black foam and the fury windscreens on together. I just ordered it and hope it does well outdoors using both. Let me know if you were able to spot this in their video and I hope you can test it. Just getting started and want a good mic. Fantastic review. Thank you.

I did test just that, and, it still doesn't help. Also, in the video, (and in physical testing), it's almost impossible to put BOTH the foam AND the furry wind covers on at the same time. They're just too tight. I *Kind of got them both on, but they're not meant to be on at the same time.

I talk about trying to fit both foam/wind covers at 14:45

Great review! Thanks for putting this together. That wind noise is a bummer.

@@MarcusHutsell do you have a video showing your setup?

I do indeed… It’s actually the video I posted just before this one back in January… Actually I think my overview video was the last video I posted in December 2020. Here’s a link to it. Hope you enjoy kzbin.info/www/bejne/gmfNZ5ymn6mMgMk

What would be the difference in switching between camera mode and phone mode when using on go pro? any difference in audio?
@MarcusHutsell Жыл бұрын
Hi there. I'm not entirely sure, as I do not own any of the GoPro USB mic adapters and I have never used any mics with my Go Pro. My assumption is that it would ONLY work on either the "Camera" setting OR the "phone" setting when attached to a GoPro, as that switch on the mic just changes and sends different signals down the different interior cables within the main cable so that the signals end up on the proper tip/ring/ring/sleeve portions of the TRRS plug.

Hello. Awesome review. Just one question about the headphone out. And you mightve said this but I think I missed it. If I wanted to use this mic to Remix an Instagram reel, I would be able to hear the audio from the video through the headphone out whilst the mic is recording right ? I just won't be able to hear the live audio the mic is picking up ? Thank you

HI there. So, just tested this, and yes, if I remix a reel and add a new clip, using the iphone camera and the Movo Double mic, if I have the Movo Double mic hooked up to my iphone with the 3.5mm to lightning adapter and the mic is set to the "phone" mode (switch on the mic), then I can hear the audio FROM the original reel and I can record new audio or add audio to the reel. I don't remix reels or do much recording or editing on my phone, but this does work. You have to go into the audio settings on the remix screen and "turn up" the "camera audio"......which you're probably familiar with, but as long as you do that.......you'll be good to go!! Cheers

I've been shooting real estate videos for a short while and haven't had a realtor request being in it, yet. However, I know it'll happen. I bought this Movo Dbl because I got it for a great price. If staying within 3' of the realtor, with rear mic off, will this be a good option for shooting interiors? I anticipate the Movo being for very limited, and more than likely temporary use, since I plan on upgrading to the Rode wireless go 2 soon.

Hi there. Yes, I think your scenario above would be fine for the Movo Double Mic. I actually like it's sound quality on the front capsule. There are other similar "dual" mics (like the Deity D4 Duo), but I actually DON'T like the sound quality of the Deity very much. The Movo double-mic sounds better to me, but I use the Deity because it gives me the ability to have front/rear mic separated so I can edit it. So, if you are using the Movo double mic with the front mic only, it should sound great. And YES, keep that realtor within about 3' of you for the best sound quality and to cut down on the reverb that you'll most likely encounter in those homes for sale. And yes, going wireless (when you can/budget) will be great for the realtors and you. But otherwise, if you keep them close to the camera/mic, you should be able to get great results. Happy filming!
