Many thanks to Sylvia for this wonderful talk - such a great example of how knitting can be utilised, adapted and integrated with the artistic and cultural forms of diverse places. Such great encouragement here for we knitters to use our imaginations and personal experiences more creatively in our knitting.

Sylvia! Everything about Sylvia is amazing. She's smart, artistic, talented, beautiful inside and out, and has had one of the most amazing life stories I've heard. What a star! Thank you for posting this ... I'm watching it all the way up here in Alaska (Aleutian Islands)

How wonderful! I loved this amazing story of difference and resilience. I love the designs. The JAT fabric in the cardigan village looks wonderful. I understand, in a small way, the journey as I am a mixed race woman. My mother was a coloured woman from New Britain and my father was a white Anglo. We were the only coloured people in a very staid country town in Australia. Your first vest with the vertical lines resonates strongly with me! I love colourwork but I’m not a fan of the obvious horizontal lines. Beautiful work and a lovely presentation. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
