This video brought back many memories of my late dad (a military aircraft mechanic and taker-apart of any engine) who routinely stripped down all machines he could just because.... well, you know. When we lived in Germany and he didn't have access to his garage at home and as a Sr NCO was no longer as hands on, he was forever taking my moped apart at the worst times. However, the thing originally did 20 km and when he finished, it cruised at 40, LOL! Great job, Sean.

I think the SP system in this era Toro is a relatively straight forward and robust design -I read something like that on a mower forum ages ago. Even Honda SP systems, especially the three speed, have problems. Built in the era when only minimal plastic is used. Ripsy dipsy!! 😀

The reason the Toro wheels have not worn is that they are rubber and not plastic like the Victa wheels. The Toro has steel two piece wheels with rubber tyres. These Toro models also had a small issue with the drive belt as the pulley which the belt went around would wear in a sandy environment and cause the belt to slip

That was absolutely fascinating watching you do that. I love what ever that cleaner is you sprayed on it 😍 Question: I think I know the answer but .. I had a young neighbour come mow my lawn and he put the wrong fuel in, straight unleaded 😖 of course it died after a few minutes. I tried kicking it over a few times before I even thought to ask what colour can he used to fill it (green, two stroke) .. he used the red can. I didn’t say anything to him, completely my fault, I should have filled it before he started 🤦♀️ There’s no saving Vic is there?🥺

This trimmers are known when they are warm they do not want to start, cold start are no problem. I've been to couple services and all said thats what they are known for, just take a few hours break to get it cold. I'm looking for suggestions what could be done. Greetings from Slovenia (Europe) :)
@theaustralianrestorer62113 жыл бұрын
Gday mate, honestly, there could be any number of issues with it, and without knowing the usage history of it, all I could do is speculate
@edijeglic3 жыл бұрын
@@theaustralianrestorer6211 My uncle when he used it the machine used about 3/4 of thank and he was done with mowing cleaned it and put it away for next use. It was never abused or ran hot because he mowed regularly. On the tank it says the oil mixture has to be 4%, does that have to do anything with it? The spark plug is old as the machine but it looks nice and runs fine, no problems at starting, pull once and it runs like a champ. I know its hard to diagnose something just describing and not having machine to try things out. Anyway thanks for your time anwsering me mate and keep up the awsome work on both channels 🤙
