In the summer i cut at 3'' and no lower dont want the yards to burn so fast lol. I need to get me one of those 30'' mowers.... also I use a van instead of a truck... makes it so much easier to take out equipment
@Makemoneymowing4 жыл бұрын
Yeah they definitely can burn in the heat man! Especially when not being watered. Most of my yards are 3" or higher right now but this homeowner asked me to mow it lower. I would love to see your van set up though bro- make a vid for it! 😎

So I've been in lawn care for 2 seasons, and starting my own business in 2021 with spring cleanups. Some tips I learned on trying to trim quicker, is 1.) Map out your route ahead of time. 2.) Start at the perimeter and continue it, as you come to debris, stop the line, do the trees/landscaping/beds, and just pick back up where you left off. Hopefully this helps someone else.

Hi from Copperas Cove Texas. Dude you are a positive example for many youngsters to follow. Coming from an old dude who loves taking care of my lawn. While I am not Pinoy, (Puerto Rican) my Spouse and Daughter are Pinay and I lived in Punas for a while. Today I was showing your videos to some Filipino Senior Church members and telling them your story. They felt good about you having a degree, and still working hard to be a productive person. Good job dude but most yards are a lot more work than this half yard. It's a front only with a lenient customer that doesn't require blade edging. Not to mention they have no landscape bed weeds to deal with, minimal fence line trimming, the grass grows like molasses, and the concrete weeds like the driveway didn't need attention. We all have some of these sweet accounts but they're the exception tbh. Most customers will require most of these to retain them for very long.
@Makemoneymowing4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing man! You are correct, I only stick edge a handful of my yards because only some need that tougher blade. I see that you also notice I do not have many landscape beds.. I did that on purpose 😎 I am very picky with the customers I take on, and if they have lots of beds/shrubs- I more than likely will refer them to someone else so I can maintain the very simple yards. For the concrete weeds- I spray all my cracks with pump sprayer weed solution- something I WISH I would have done a long time ago!! Not every yard takes 10 mins, most of mine are around 20 mins. But, 99% all of the yards are similar to this style and that is by design 🤙🏼 To do all of the fenceline trimming/molasses/etc. you mentioned it would certainly be much more effort & time! Where is your business man?

How to cut a yard should be something every little boy understands and knows inside and out. I was taught at 9 years old how to push mow. I had my yard to do and Grandma's yard. Now I mow several with my sit down Scag as a side gig to my handyman, landlord, and pressure washing business. Keep hustling kid, you're far ahead of many youngsters your age. Just remember, you need to be wise with your money. Biblically wise. You won't have to work later if you do it right.

I like walking to the left when it comes to edging but I do see small minor things that I learned can be a liability later on. When around cars I suggest when you edge or weed whack go in the direction you know that the debris will shoot away from anything that can be broken. And also, your strategy is beautiful but to me if you do a single perimeter you can get the same stripes down faster but I’m glad you are succeeding keep being a boss and thank you for the videos

You have to be careful walking backwards because you don't have eyes in the back of your head .Watch ot for trip hazards and passing vehicles. It is not hard to crack windows or windshields so make sure to let cars pass when trimming in rocky areas and slow rpms so debri and rocks don't travel as far.
