A bit of FYI American Elderberry(commonly Black Elderberry) is grown for the berries. When ripe, the berries are removed from the stems and BOILED which makes the berry and seeds completely safe to eat. The heat of cooking destroys the glycocides. Jams and wines and syrups are made from the cooked slurry of berries. There are many known health benefits of Elderberry.

That really was an amazing cleanup. Thank you for identifying some of the plants especially the species that are harmful to pets. I feel you have more to go with this property. I imagine cleaning up the yard and garden will inspire her to do the same on the inside. I worked with a lady whose desk was a total mess yet her files were color coded neat and organized. If told me a lot about her. I’m not judging this homeowner, but sometimes people down on their luck needs a little inspiration to bring them out of their funk.

A job well done, Steve! I had no idea there was a gate to the backyard behind all the bushes, until the big reveal. You did a painstaking job on the bushes, and cleaned the gutter. I am curious who planted the bushes up against the house. Not a smart idea! (I am worried what is living under the house, these days...with that opening. When you find time, you could put a barrier on it....stack some bricks, perhaps. Watching you from Los Angeles.

Out of all the KZbinrs doing yard maintenance in the States and Australia, you are the most thorough at doing your job. You pay attention to detail making sure that everything looks good and is in order. I know that everyone knows that a KZbinr gets viewers by cleaning yards that are abandoned and completely overgrown with weeds so, in essence, it's not free, because that's how you get viewers and the more people watch the more money you make. Again I think you are one of the best.

I hope that that something amazing comes your way, I am a strong believer in what goes around comes around. The lady is lucky you found her I know that you both work hard but this is special. I hope that she can get some help with basic repairs to the outside of her home before the bad weather comes. Is there any charity that could help her? It amazing that in a country like USA 🇺🇸 you all pay local tax yet you get nothing in return OK they take away your house rubbish in your waste bin

It's a good deed you inform the viewers about plants, educating is all ways the right way! Though I have a question about the bags... do you put all the garbage in the bags with the greens? Don't you have recycling dumps? In Denmark we separate garbage and greens... we have strict rules about garbage...

With the heavy rainfall in NSW, it was very helpful to the householder to have their garage gutter cleared out of foliage too. Clearing away the tree made such a difference to that area. It almost looked a bit like bamboo. My daughter has bamboo in nsw and it grows similar to that one.
