@@cristianrazo8667 This is not an answer to the question, but only an excuse. To clarify the question: the share of Asians of academic musicians in the United States is clearly greater than their share in the US population as a whole. Is this due to the fact that Asians score higher on intelligence tests and are therefore more gifted on average?

I think a possible reason could be that Asian culture emphasizes hard work and practice in the arts, more so than American culture does, and if you practice more, you play better. I think they also are taught perseverance, so when they go through that stage where they want to quit, like many teenagers do, their parents won't let them.
