Thank you, Jürgen, for creating this video, it was such a nice surprise! Your tutorials on YT and advice were incredibly helpful during the development of the Bitwig integration. You’ve truly made a big impact on the community. We’re currently focused on Logic integration but plan to return to Bitwig soon to add mixer controls and probably other goodies.

Thanks for the kind words! Looking forward to all new goodies! 🙂

@@mossgraber btw it seems you have the previous version of the MP MIDI app/plugin. In the latest, you can program the buttons (under push options) to send keyboard keys to any app and of course to Bitwig. So, you can send any keyboard shortcut that works with Bitwig :)

@@mpmidi I checked your website before making the video and this was the latest I could find. Where can I find the download for the later one? BTW It would be great if your main website would have a "Download" button on the top with all the available software.

I work with Logic Pro, only with virtual synths and effects, and i plan to buy one of these next year. I've been following this product's evolution since last year, and i'm pretty sure it will smooth out my workflow…

woaaa Jürgen has the mp midi controller....nice. For live jam it is amazing. In my home studio it might be overkill as the price is pretty high.
@mossgraber5 күн бұрын
I see it on the opposite more as a studio device since it is quite bulky and not the controller you put easily in your bag.

I have been eyeing this device for quite a while now but every time I decided to pull the trigger I somehow back off. But ideally.., what I would want from Bitwig is a function that every last parameter that is touched by either mouse or "touch" will be auto assigned to a "joker" CC. So if you for example touch the cutoff of the polysynth > automatically assigned to midi CC 88. Touch the mix knob of the delay+ > auto assigned to Midi CC88. Like that you would only need a 1 knob controller and that would make working with a touchscreen really interesting. Btw I believe this device might have this auto assign to joker function. Could you confirm that ?
@mossgraber5 күн бұрын
Yes, that is correct but as you mentioned, Bitwig needs to implement a "last touched parameter" info as well.

@@mossgraber well the workflow of it using bitwig how it helps you in your everyday music production. I love this device but because of the price, i wanna be sure it will be worth it. And by the way thx for everything you do, i've been using Bitwig and buying my music gear only because they are compatible with your work.

I‘ve one since 2 Months ❤ I use it not for Bitwig, only to control my Plugins and it‘s awseome 💯🚀

Very interesting! Maybe I missed it, but it seems not to have Linux support? And the 32 controller knobs reminds me strikingly of my last feature suggestion for the generic flexi I wrote in the sequencer de forum :) But any way a very nice device and it will be interesting what they'll develop in the future 🚀
@mossgraber5 күн бұрын
No, Linux is not supported. But would be worth a try since HDMI should work anyway and the rest is USB class compliant.

My favorite conrroller fir bitwig 8s actually the elgato stream deck 32 with sideshowfx bitwig loaded. Its something that get missed and not touching a mouse and keyboard fir 99% of the time is game dhanging workflow

For anyone thinking of purchasing it, you should definitely test your (video) monitor setup before throwing down the cash. I run two 4k monitors and for some reason (total output resolution) my 3080 had issues with running a third display which required me to buy an AMD card since their multi-monitor support is less limiting (I might have been able to get it to work on my original video card, but it's hit and miss). The only other "gotcha" (which isn't really a gotcha since they're up front about it) is that there's no Linux support and they've advised in support emails that there's no plans at this time to change that. Beyond that, it's an excellent controller which is updating fairly regularly. The MIDI companion app they have has a lot of potential, and given the last couple of updates it looks like they're attempting to broaden their horizons into controlling other stuff. If you can afford it, it's well worth consideration.

An RTX 3080 should be able to eat 3 or more monitors for breakfast perhaps it was a driver issue?. Should not be an issue for me with a Gigabyte Gaming OC RTX 4090 :)

@mossgraber5 күн бұрын
Good to know! But it has only absolute knobs and you don't know what you are controlling (unless it is for a specific fixed setup were you can put some stickers on it).
