That always lingered my mind when I had an MP5. Pistols are great for the 9mm but why get a submachine gun style weapon in 9mm? Thats exactly when I started to think "well, if im going to have the size and the weight... why not just own a Krink? it has similar dimensions and weight with more power and just as compact. not to mention equal in value or sometimes even cheaper".

@ then we are just getting into the realm of any other rifle caliber “pistol”. I think the advantage of the 9mm lies in the cost of ammo. You get so much more range time for your money vs an AR or AK pistol

I am partial to my (ptr) mp5 but my buddy just got an AKV and it's a blast as well. I think it totally comes down to budget first like you said, then aesthetics and action.

Try changing your extractor spring. Buy one of the HK made copper colored ones, if you already have that - then yea it could just be a temperamental weapon.

That was the first thing I tried. I’m pretty sure the bolt is out of spec on that one. I still need to swap bolts and test it out though

@360TacticalSolutions that might create problems of its own as the rollers for bolt A and trunnion A could be different than bolt B and trunnion B. Aren't roller guns fun?! 😅

Yes, agreed. It's too bad here in WA the FRT and any binary triggers are banned completely. I can't wait to move the hell out of my home state

ETS mags are totally junk (sucks the ptr comes with them). The KCI gen 2 steel mags are good to go. I have several thousand rounds through mine. Finish somehow held up better than my buddies genuine hk mags.

ETS makes the worst mags. My PTR came with metal mags with no markings. I can only imagine they are KCI. So far they have worked well
