Hi! When installing a Drums Plugin, by default it has a ‘Keyboard’ setup (it shows the midi keys), and the pads get messed up when ‘Chords’ are selected. Is there a way for a plugin to have a ‘Drums’ configuration, so it doesn’t mess up the pads with the chords?

I hope you've already fixed it. I had the similar experience on Mac - Apple silicon. In my case, running MPC with Rosetta 2 fixed the issue. (Rosetta 2 enables a Mac with Apple silicon to use apps built for a Mac with an Intel processor.)

The MPK Mini 3 I got came with the F9 expansion and Air Mini Grand and Velvet and all that good stuff. For the life of me I can't figure out how to get the Mini Grand into MPC Beats as a plug in. They should be compatible, right?

*I am looking for a tutorial of using MPC Beats as a Plugin itself. I am using Magix Music Maker, everything works great together, but all I can do ATM is play the sequence in MPC sequence within MPC by clicking play in Magix. I need to know how to export that sequence as audio directly into the assigned track.* I get it, I can just export from MPC and drag the beat exports into Magix as needed, but the purpose is to have a single DAW open, apply the beat from MPC as a plugin into the audio track of Magix, and I don't have to have folders open, both apps fully opened etc.

All this is nice, but how can you create multiple instances of a plugin with different presets? It seems so counter intuitive that you can have multiple instances but as soon as you alter one, it alters all of them simultaneously.

The Touch Strip insert effect is only available in the full MPC2 desktop software.

It is quite easy to use plugins, it's easier still to see someone do it first!. A lot of plugins will ask for the plugin directory, it should be C:\Program Files\Steinberg\vstplugins or something similar. Best thing is to just load the 64 bit VST (if you have a 64 bit modern PC) then you go to the menus, select edit > preferences.> plugins and you will see where the directories are, you can then select rescan all. When you make a track, click on the "plug" icon and you will get a list pop up with all the plugins you have. Sometimes you have to fiddle around with directories to put your presets or instruments for the plugin. It is frustrating at times, but that is how you load plugins. To get the plugins to display, you will need to be in program edit mode to have them display n the same screen. Just keep messing about and hover over buttons to see what they do, keep all your downloads and installers, if you completely screw it up, you can just do a clean re-install. I have searched for a book that explains all this, but haven't found one, might have to write it myself!

@@dionisus18 I actually solved, I was loading them from the wrong folder! www.akaipro.com/kb/akai-pro-mpk-mini-iii-troubleshooting-guide/#PLUG here's a link to it (check "I don't see the AIR plugins in MPC Beats. How do I access them?"). If it still doesn't work, check out Matthew Stratton video on the set up, he explains how to copy the plugins into the right folder. Hope it was of help

@@totc6196 Sorry, I dont know how to fix your problem. Do u got any software for your ipd8? Maybe u can change settings there. But if u mean when you have some drums recorded, theres an option to change velocity maybe thats it?

I'm losing my mind over here. I can make drums and play them with my Akai and I can also play instruments on the piano roll but I cannot for the life of me do both. I also have no access to the top left menu no matter what I do and there's no explanation as to where I can access those options within the program. Please can someone please help me so I can just making a song. I'm going crazy here and I'm about to just sell my Akai and delete the program and go back to making music with a keyboard and microphone.
