Led by Production VFX Supervisor Adam Valdez, Animation Supervisor Daniel Fotheringham, VFX Producer Barry St. John, MPC VFX Supervisor Audrey Ferrara, and VFX Producer Georgie Duncan, a team of over 1,700 artists, production crew, and technologists at MPC crafted the VFX for Mufasa: The Lion King.

Usually with movies of this scale, they use more than just one software. There are probably more, but the few ones I recognized were Maya, Houdini and Unreal Engine, which are all generally on paid licenses
