Once again Matt explains the new feature better than the rest. I just heard about the new Drum Synth and had no idea how to use it. Other videos start with the plug in or jumped right to the synth. While obvious to most probably I did not realize that by selecting Program Edit you get to the synth parameters. Simple but others did not mention it. Matt covered it. Its your attention to detail and thoroughness that makes you stand out. Thanks a ton.

This thing is quite mind blowing. Just got mine today. Obviously I went straight to the firmware update, and lo and behold, they’ve put this in. Wow, I mean, it’s one thing to fix a few bugs and UI issues, but adding an _entire drum synth engine, that’s actually really good,_ just as an update, is pretty amazing, really. I’ve been playing with it, and the sounds are very good. Generic, but in a good way, like, they are just perfectly refined for being useful. I’m blown away by this machine, really. Not quite used to the layout yet - it’s kind of quirky, but not illogical. I’m dying to get good (quick) on it! Currently a little bit lost, even though I’m very experienced in these kind of things. I need that ‘click’ moment, where I get it, which I’m sure will come soon. Thanks for the video, by the way, I learned a few things!

First of all Thank You for all the great videos. There seems to be a bug on Akai Pro MPC Software 2.9, where you can not see the Midi Outputs of the multiple Midi Units connected to MPC Live in standalone mode. There is also no way to downgrade from Software 2.9 back down to 2.8 because Akai has removed that from their downloads, only 2.6 and 2.9 are available. Are you having the same problem? There are some comments on forums about this, I though you might have figured it out already. Thank You.

Not using a track/plug in for kick, another one for snare... my problem, I cannot find for midimap the parameter which manage individual gain/volume for each 8 drum part. I have all the others parameters I want working perfectly. But not one dealing with individual volume. Do you have a solution? Is it a bug ? Thx for your help.

@@djmouglie Sure! The MPC One with all it' s capabilities had me feeling like sitting in front of a computer, again. The MPC 1000 on the other end gives me the feeling of actually playing a real instrument. Don' t get me wrong on the MPC One. What your get for your money is really amazing, especially when you compare it to the standalone competition like NI' s Maschine+ The One is almost 50% cheaper, has a touch screen and exepct clips mode can basically do the same things for 700 bucks. But like I said: I wanted something more "stripped down" featurewise to not get lost in features and functions but actually make music instead. Coming from a completely software based background (Reason 1.0 way back around the year 2000) making beats without a computer feels good to me atm.

This new 2.9 update is cool. but i have 2 issues one is i recently spilled a small amount of water on my MPC Live's pads. which made some of the pads barely respond on the right. and some on the left. it was a accident. someone told me to dry it out with a fan, another person told me to open it and dry it out. i can't open it but i did sit it near a fan for a few weeks. that didn't do very much. if i push full level i can here all the pads. i guess it needs to go to the repair shop if i want it back like it was. and two is my new computer won't allow me to get updates for some reason. so i'll have to get them to put it in at the repair shop i hope. much peace.
