Here is an MPC ONE WORKFLOW | MPC ONE SAMPLING video I put together going over my beat making process on the mpc one, here I talk about the mpc one sampling and how I use this mpc workflow to my advantage. everyone beat making process is different but I really wanted to share my mpc workflow with you guys. I am using drums from my splice sounds and I have been loving the splice sampling sounds, there are so many sounds you can find on Splice.com so make sure you guys check them out.

It’s always a 50-50, when it comes down to quantizing depending on how my natural groove is which is not as good so I do use the power of quantization. Sometimes what I will do is quantize my entire performance and then go to each individual note (kick / Snr) And start to shift forward and backward with the cursor so it’s a little off beat

Hey Keith, yes it does come with some drum samples pre-installed in the unit so you are able to start programming drums straight out of the box. The sounds that it comes with are not bad at all so you have a pretty good start

Hey brotha, honestly the only thing that I wish I had from the MPC LIVE II now that I’ve owned the ONE would be the fact that it’s battery powered since I live in a studio bedroom apartment with my wife and daughter there has been time I just need to take my MPC outside and make music lol, other than that I honestly don’t feel any need at all for the LIVE II that I’m not getting on this MPC ONE. I’m loving the MPC ONE and I don’t regret getting this one over the LIVE II, yes the live two does have extra inputs but I don’t feel the need for those inputs since I’m just making beats and sampling from my 2 inputs.

@@malobeats Haha, thank you Malo. I'm the same, I wouldn't have any need for the extra outputs/inputs, but I really like the fact that the LIVE II can essentially be used as a stand alone instrument for jamming!! I'm still on the fence, and it's getting sore! Lol.

Yea honestly I’ve never used the LIVE II so I can say much on that but for the type of music that I do (sample based hip hop) I don’t feel like I’m missing anything with the MPC ONE.

@@malobeats you can plug basically any portable battery pack/charging brick into the USB port and power the MPC. The big Sony camera batteries with USB out can last over 6 hours.

Hey brotha, yes so I’m pretty much chopping the sample on the kick drum down beat and another chop on the snare, so chop every kick and snare (boom bap) keeping it simple so when I play my drums I can also play my samples on the kick and snare. Hope this was helpful and I will do a video on this with more detail, thank you for this input it really helps me for my next videos I appreciate you bro.
