Hey Michael, thank you brother I appreciate you taking the time to leave this. I guess that is fair to say as we use these machines almost as if it’s our own instrument I never really thought about it that way but it is true. Thank you so much brother appreciate you.
@music_works3 жыл бұрын
@@malobeats Absolutely! And when you think about what an instrument is (whether its played with a bow or embouchure or a pick or whatever), it's really just a tool for musical expression. Any instrument (or object really) can make noise, but it takes a musician to manipulate those sounds with their own approach to create something cohesive and new. If an MPC doesn't count as an instrument then I guess we'll have to take piano off the table too (all pianists do is press buttons haha).
@droussel73593 жыл бұрын
A bit late to this thread, but I got to agree with Michael here. I studied the cello for 10 years when I was a kid. Have been taking guitar lessons for a few years now. I got an MPC this summer and it is totally like learning a new instrument. Drumming on the pads, learning to sample and chop, developing the musical vocabulary required in beats, etc, is not easy! So yeah, you are totally a musician :) To conclude, I watch your videos to help me in my own journey learning to play the MPC so keep it up, thanks a lot!

To be completely honest with you the MPC one, and mPC live mk2, or the mpc x Will essentially do the same thing when it comes down to creating your beats the only difference will be some extra bells and whistles you’ll get with the more expensive ones but your beats will sound the same on all the machines it just depends if you need any of those extras with the more expensive machines if that makes any sense. I personally like the MPC live for its portability but that machine does not make my beats sound any better or worse. The MPC one is a flawless machine in my opinion

Hey Alexander, thank you for taking the time and watching some of the videos. Absolutely, I feel that if you want to get into samplers and chopping up your music no matter what route you go with you gonna have to learn the machine and honestly the MPC is extremely advanced and allows you to do almost anything and everything within the unit itself. You don’t have to use all the functions that it gives you at the beginning but as you grow with the device you could start diving into the more complex features that it offers. I feel that you will have an advantage and you could also have some fun since you actually know how to play live instruments so you will not have any limitations with your creativity.
