Thanks! I’ve been needing this video. I’m used to standalone and the software drives me crazy. I wish I could just change the view to reflect standalone mode. Thanks again!

Great video again ... I did notice at 4:26 that right-clicking on the little down arrow in Track, does in fact display a little drop down menu similar to Program ... I initially struggled with the MPC Beats software but I am now a lot more comfortable with using the software and am finding my way around ... it actually seems like good software ... my plan was to jump to the Ableton software, however, I'm going to stick with the MPC Software for a while yet and give it a good chance ... perhaps to be different from the crowd and also to give Akai some support for their efforts ...

I feel like the software has sooo much potential, but there are some little things, like the lack of responding to zooming with the trackpad that get really frustrating.

It’s as though the developers had a brain storming meeting, just to make the software version as different and as convoluted as possible. Well done Akai you managed it. Although to be fair, the software is intended to be controller friendly not user friendly.

Ya... its like a whole new program, but im hoping to help with a full software series.

Newbie here so I’ll be watching. My main question now is the easiest way to share or swap file between software and standalone.
@CREATEEDUCATEINSPIRE2 жыл бұрын
Great question. I usually save everything to the SD or internal harddrive on your MPC, then when in controller mode, they memory inside the MPC (SD/SSD) will mount and you should be able to access from the Software Browser. Lmk if that help

With the software everything in your face I don’t understand how people say it’s hard to use lol

Can you help me please…. I can sample in standalone mode , however I get no monitor input signal on my Mpc software… I set my input and output to live 2 … inside preferences/ settings … can’t get monitor signal level at all ,green meter not moving, therefore arm button not recording…
@CREATEEDUCATEINSPIRE Жыл бұрын
Do you have the monitor button on the sample page set to “in”, can also be found on the track page or audio page

Omg, you must have made this video for me. I’m a Mpc since the 60 and could probably do most things standalone in the dark but the software is like kytonite to me. For the life of me I do not understand why the software is literally a different product from the hardware???? Thanks for the tips!!
@CREATEEDUCATEINSPIRE2 жыл бұрын
My pleasure! and congrats on having a 60, always wanted to try the older MPCs but i've never had the chance.

I believe the Renaissance and the original made since. When they came out with the touch they should have did an overhaul.
@CREATEEDUCATEINSPIRE2 жыл бұрын
Fully agreed. Things are sort of… everywhere. It’s fine when you use the software just in the background and control with the MPC. But if your need to make some changes without the MPC, it’s easy to feel lost.
@jerzboybeats2 жыл бұрын
@@CREATEEDUCATEINSPIRE I totally agree. The software forced me to learn the standalone better. Along with your tips and tricks The advantage is using the Vst’s already that I own as far as other sounds. I believe Akai is forcing me (no pun intended) to get the keys because they (inbrand) have not updated support for their MPK249/61. I just recently got a limited edition black that won’t work on BjgSur yet. Me being a keyboard player should be a no brainer to get the MPC Keys but I’m still in the air about bit.

I actually like the software. Some cool tricks can be done in it which are a pain in the standalone.
