I have no clue why yesterday I was getting MPC stems vids recommended to me when I have nothing to do with making music, but I couldn't tell what the hell was going with stems whatever they're lol. I came back today to find out and you explained it perfectly! That's pretty amazing that it can isolate different parts of music that you sample! Cheers!

I was totally amazed. I watched the video with headphones so I could judge the quality of the isolated tracks more precisely. You can seriously work with this. The quality is absolutely top. I'm glad he mentioned Zzounds. It's so awesome all you need is a bank account/debit card and you can have all the dream studio equipment you've always wanted. No interest, all you do is choose a plan like, 3 months-12 months and it breaks down the payments and takes it from your account until it's paid off. No credit check, it's called "pay as you play" or something. Your gear will arrive at your house literally next day. I wouldn't have all my pro studio gear without them. I sound like a commercial or paid to say this stuff but i'm not. Just really happy they exist.

@Bezz_Jeens Жыл бұрын
When this was first announced, I have to say I was EXTREMELY skeptical of this, I've used a lot of stem separation software and only a few programs can really make something overall usable. Most are OK at removing vocals or isolating vocals, but pretty rough with everything else. You can use them, you just have to beef up the sample or use the best little parts where there aren't a ton of weird artifacts or bleed. I also didn't think that this was going to be usable standalone. However, it actually sounds pretty fantastic, up there with some of the best and just a step below the Serato stem tools. If Akai could just work on the time-stretch algorithm a little bit, I think this new crop of MPCs would be the top of basically every individual sampler criteria ranking. Definitely puts me over the edge on getting one. EDIT: was too busy typing to realize you weren't using it in standalone mode. Personally, this is pretty much moot if it's not this quality in standalone. If you're going to be on your computer anyway, there are better, cheaper, faster, and cleaner stem separation options out there. If Akai really does pull off this level of refinement in the standalone version of this program, then I'll get a One+ on the spot. However, I have some doubts that it will work as well, I just don't think they'll be able to get the processing power needed to do it. I think it will get a standalone version that works kind of poorly and for the better quality, you'll have to hook into the computer.

Yo! Seems awesome feature. I have used online stems for learning tracks and making simple remixes. I havent tried it for beatmaking yet, im afraid like this suddenly opens so many doors and id feel lost. Kinda like, ok ilma get the sample and use my own drums, but then again i have the access to the drum track also.. so its gonna be a lot of choosing what to use and whats the main purpose. There are times when we only want a certain thing but its gotta be tempting to take more stuff as it is available, there is so much you can do with that also etc... its like working with a whole Web of the original track.
