The stem software all depends on how clean your samples are. I own various stem sep software and some sound better than others especially if you use. Splice sample for ex. It will come out clean but on the other hand, an old soul sample from vinyl might sound compressed, sounds a little Lofi. I used Neural Mix, Izotope RX 11 and Serato stem sep

Bro you're generally right. But if you compare that joint to any other "stems" software, it's severely sub par. It's not about wether it's crap or not, it's that it sucks compared to other options. But you right tho, it's the driver not the car.
@JaeFreshmen2 ай бұрын
I never said stems were good either. The point is that things are only as useful as you make them. Many people are too attached to their own convenience, which doesn't challenge them, and to their rigid beliefs about the right process, instead of focusing on the outcomes they can achieve.

I think the source of the sample is key. I stemmed some WAV and MP3 files and there is some phasing depending on the recording. Vinyl is a different story. The quality of the stems are much better on vinyl. Especially older material. I’m assuming the recording process back than was different in terms of EQing and filters. BUT stemming digital music can be a hit and miss depending on quality.
