Gr8 video, here in Australia, those pins U can buy for Ur trailer. Look exactly the same, pin with a keyring looking thing on top with piece of wire. Cheers

Thank you for posting this. I'm planing on building my MPCNC too soon and your improvements are all great ideas, especially the enclosure, nice and simple...

That enclosure is brilliant! Really well done. You happen be4 able to provide any links to plans drawings etc would you?
@widgetwiz3d7564 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Sorry I do not have drawings for it. I built it on the fly. Once I decided how large to build the mpcnc I built the base for it allowing a little extra room around it and went from there.

I want to know more about your enclosure as I am going to do Aluminum as well as wood and the chips need to be contained. Besides that I am unsure how to remove Aluminum chips as I saw this one video of a MPCNC and one job he had over 6 inches of small chips rising up to dangerous levels for the machine. I can imagine a full fledged large job.
@widgetwiz3d7564 жыл бұрын
I don't engrave aluminum with mine but I would imagine you will need to have a good vacuum since the chips are heavier than wood. I use a small shop vac for small wooden engraving jobs. If you have larger jobs a better vac system will be needed due to the smaller filter in the vac getting clogged up. I use my machine mainly for engraving acrylic. I use a diamond tip drag bit instead of standard router bits. These work awesome!!! Good luck with your build!

Do you still need to print the mpcnc standard J tool mount for this router mount to attach to?

How well is everything working a year later?
@widgetwiz3d7563 жыл бұрын
Hi Lucas After 1 year it is still working fine. I must add that I do not use it frequently though. Recently I engraved several things for Christmas gifts using a drag bit (shown on one of my other videos). These had some fairly fine detail and lettering and did very well. I was very pleased with the results.

Hi. I have been waiting more than two years now, with great anticipation, of you putting your "Stan's Brass Marker' on sale, but sadly nothing yet. I think this is brilliant, and would like to buy a couple from you. Are they for sale yet? If not, would you be willing to sell me the stl's for it, on the understanding that I don't manufacture/sell them myself. I have looked at Double Alpha's marker, and it is crappy and complicated compared to yours. If you don't want to sell the product, or sell the drawings, I guess I will have to have a go at designing it myself, but would far prefer to purchase from you. I am all the way down here in Australia and know that a lot of the boys here would be very interested in one. If unfortunately you can't see your way clear to selling me one - or the drawings - could you let me know so I can stop waiting. Cheers mate.

Hi Noel I am so sorry it has taken me so long. I have been working with a friend who shoots in competition and honestly I originally designed this for him. I didnt expect that there was going to be that much interest in it but it has. I am going to sell these to folks. To make it better and more versatile for other ammunition sizes I had to redesign several parts. It has been a trial and error process. I believe I have it at a point that will be better for folks who actually want to buy one. I couldn't in good consciousness sell them without improvements. I also had to work on the 2 color marking capability as well. Long story but I am printing and assembling them now. I will post a message when I have some ready. Regards

@@widgetwiz3d756 Stan (Not Stan? Name?). Thanks for the reply. I was very pleasantly surprised. I understand just how long it takes to 'modify' things so they are commercially acceptable - and it is such a great idea you want to get it right straight off the bat. Please put me down for one as soon as you think they are ready. I really want one of these, and I know that several of my shooting mates would want one as soon as they see it. I am in Australia, but more than happy to pay whatever shipping costs are involved. Keep up the great work, and I hope the finished product isn't too faraway. Cheers mate. Noel

Is the black pipe different than EMT conduit that Home Depot sells?
@widgetwiz3d7565 жыл бұрын
This is EMT. I painted mine satin black and sanded a small strip under each bearing path. I preferred that look instead of the plain EMT finish.
