Haha yea, I guess having 10 speeds and 3.31 gears probably helps quite a bit. But just remember you could by a few frontiers for the price of one of these trucks so rest at night knowing that haha

Great review man. Love the dirtbike on the highway analogy. Hit close to home as someone who got a Norden 901 hoping it would fill the role of an enduro bike and long distance adv bike. lol

Haha thanks man. Yea I had an enduro and realized it was a jack of all trades, master of none. A little heavy off road, a little unstable at high speed, but still a heck of a lot of fun.

Do do your own oil and fuel filter changes? You can do fuel filter changes for way cheaper than $450 if you do them yourself. And that’s using Motorcraft filters.

Haven’t yet but am not opposed to it. That said, my first three changes were “free” included with the purchase of the truck, so I have yet to pay for a full service myself.

I got the same truck and love it. I too have sync issues with Apple CarPlay but it’s manageable for now. I get literally the same mileage as you at 4k miles

Make sure you replace the fuel filter and the top water separator within 8,000 miles

If you hold the power button on the head unit and the forward button simultaneously for about 5 seconds it will force a reboot of the stereo and everything should reconnect afterwards.

love mine i got a xlt 250 crew cab long bed with the HO 6.7. Mine also did the instrument cluster turn off then it came back on but said the drive mode weren't available which made me pull over and restart the truck since I was towing and didn't want to lose town/haul. It hasn't done it since. Mine does the carplay thing but its different it will just have no audio but reconnecting it usually fixes it. One time it did just crash carplay every 45seconds to a minute no matter what I did but again it did it once on my way home from work and hasn't done it since.

From my experience using a new high quality usb cord makes a big difference with car play issues. I usually have to replace mine every 6 months or so because of disconnecting issues

It disconnects in the same places it something with pipelines or something interrupts ,i only use wired carplay

That’s for two filters and and oil change. But yes, either the dealer or a diesel shop. Luckily my first three services were included when I bought the truck so I have yet to pay, but next one’s on me.

​@RollingWithRuss you cab buy the motorcraft fuel filter kit for about $75, oil filter for $25, and enough full synthetic Rotella T6 oil for about $75 and do it yourself.

500 horse, 1,200 torque is accurate. All with a factory 100k mile warranty for the Powerstroke motor and transmission. Pretty wild.
