Loved this podcast,I have always thought about what will people think about me because i have recently left alcohol and no longer think i want that life for myself anymore and i have noticed that no one is really paying attention but that little voice in my head ,My mom said something so similar to what you said ,as long as i am right with God and as long as God can truly see that I am willing to change that is all that matters.Thank you for sharing,sometimes we need to hear things from people out of your family.

God has been preaching the very same message to me lately. I always loved expensive clothes and even for my kids , but now i don't afford them since my family has grown. I thank God i managed to listen to him and downgraded my life to where i afford everything and still not be in debt . I now live according to my means and me and my kids are wearing reasonable clothes and happy. You are truly allowed to change you mind.

Its not a downgrade darling... You made adjustments😊 "downgrade" is a negative word that can affect a person's self-esteem and cause them to subconsciously look down on themselves.

Hey sis, this is so insightful. I always like looking at it as growth as we grow our interests change. I mean, half the time, our goals are influenced by environment, circumstances, and what we consume, and as those factors change our vision and goals are likely to need altering or changing altogether and that's fine. For example in university I used to think I love partying and stuff coz that's what I knew fun to be. But as I get to know me more I figured I actually love being in a relaxed environment, like chilling at home watching a movie with my girlies is fun too. When I started embracing my type of fun, some ppl didn't understand, but my true tribe stuck with me and we accommodate each other and its beautiful to experience. I don't know if you have watched the series "the bold type" if not please try it. It touches a lot on changing our minds. Loved the last episode where this lady finally got an opportunity to become an editor in chief, which was her childhood dream . She accepted it because it was on her goals list, but at the last minute during induction, she figured she loved being a writer and not managing people and attending meetings, etc, and she turned it down though she felt she disappointed her mentor who put in so much to get her there but her mentor understood. Having watched the last episode yesterday and this video today, I'm definitely in the right path ❤❤❤ Also this resonates so much with the word God gave me in the beginning of the year "Unlearning and accepting change" and oh girl a lot has been changing ❤❤ Thank you for this, Happy June. I wanted to do comrades marathon, when I started doing marathons to quality I realised that I don’t enjoy long distances. Half marathons are challenging and still enjoyable for me. Yes I felt guilty for a while for changing my mind but now I’ve accepted and enjoy cheering for everyone whose doing these ultras and that fulfils me so much.
