Just came across this video. I was in the audience that day. I was 18 and attended the show with my dad. Dale was relatively unknown at the time and came out of nowhere to defeat many now legendary bodybuilders including the man standing at the top of the platform in yellow posing trunks.................the great Robby Robinson.

The gentleman handing out the trophies was the ultimate class act of the industry and had a HUGE impact on it. Publisher/editor of the most respected and honest bodybuilding magazine of the day ,---the great Peary Rader !

Mabel Radar is still with us. She is 102 years old & living in an assisted living home. I got this information from her good friend Dr. Jan Todd, a year ago there abouts. Bless Perry as well as Dr. Terry Todd! Thanks for your post Samuel.

I noticed Anibal Lopez up there too. Al was a great guy. I use to go to his health food store on Hillside Avenue in Jamaica back in the late 70's/early 80's.

Really Pat Neve or Clint would have been a better choice. Even Davis looked a little more chiseled. Adrian had a great physique , tho. All these guys look so much stronger and more athletic than modern day competitors.

0:44 Dale was good but for 6th,7th and definitely for podium . Clint ,Pat ,the far left guys were even better and then Dale-imho
