I came for the Friesian. I'll stay for the English Shepherd! My sister and her husband have had this breed for many years for both their farm dogs and their pets. She loves them dearly and presently has two, a male and a female. You are right that they are not a well known breed.

@@anjizetland-von-kiesel3346 They certainly are similar and closely related to Border Collies. But having been around my sister's English Shepherds and my cousin's Border Collies it seems to me there is a distinct difference in the body type. Generally Border Collies are leaner and more stream lined. English Shepherds have more bulk and a broader chest. My sister says that many people who use them as herding animals won't use English Shepherds to herd sheep as they tend to be too aggressive. They are used more for herding cattle or pigs where their bulk and assertiveness are a better fit. But I suppose that the individual dog and its personality is a factor too. I am no expert on herding dogs so maybe someone who is can comment more clearly on this. My sister's dogs have always been beautiful dogs and I love watching her with them but they are so intensely loyal that it is hard to get them to like or pay attention to anyone else. They sure aren't like Labs!

Bentley is beautiful! I’ve never heard of an English Shepherd either! I love dogs that have some energy, he looks like he has a lot!! My Husky does too, for that matter so does my Australian shepherd! They definitely keep me busy! And no, “He’s not a horse”!! ❤️ but sometimes I wonder what my Husky is thinking when he goes between my legs and stands there…..🤣🤣 he’s a hoot! Thanks for sharing!

Mr Bentley is a good boy whose frisbee skills are on another level. I love Lincoln UK, has an amazing cathedral, castle and independent shops housed in beautiful buildings. Just done a quick wiki on Lincoln Nebraska - you have the National Museum of Roller skating 🛼 . I so wanna go 😊. Looks like a nice city. Craft beer would also be my thing....

Pretty dog and he sure loves to play Frisbee! We lived in Omaha for a year. My husband was stationed at Offutt AFB and I don't think the weather in April looked like that. I believe I remember quite a bit of snow on the ground. Strange for us since we had come from being stationed in Hawaii for three years. Lovely friendly people up there and beautiful wheat. I had never seen wheat before.

Like so many I have found your channel because of Julius being the son of Uniek. I have really enjoyed it and appreciated all the videos of Prince Julius. Would you mind, in another video, telling all of the story of how you came to find Julius? ❤ And how he was purchased and brought overseas. It would be interesting! 😊 Do you know more of his history before you found him? Was he a stallion for quite a while and now a gelding?

If you look at previous videos comments say he was at Royal Academy in Netherlands. Also watch video of Yvonne’s she mentioned Prince Julius when they visited Royal Academy. He was gelded before he was shipped to US.

Very similar breeds. The English shepherd was a general herding dog and has less energy demands than the border collie. That’s why we chose this breed for our house pet. He is able to just laze around when we aren’t playing
