This is what rock used to sound like; what it should sound like now. Man I miss these guys; can they still rock or what! I miss the power chords and guitar driven frenzy, the long hair, live shows, and music videos of this era. And the awesome ballads! If you weren't around in the late 70' and through the 80' to hear this stuff, what a shame(good stuff in the 90' as well)! Dokken, XYZ, Extreme, Winger, Lynch Mob, Scorpions, UFO, Kingdom Come, Ozzie, Van Halen, AC/DC, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Motley Crue, Gun's N Roses. The list goes on. Thankfully some of these bands have continued to provide more great music; but the boys are getting' old, and the music on the radio and TV has changed. Sorry to be seeing it go. The talent and energy that was commonplace, seem to be leaving with it.

There are some groups out there today that *attempt* to recreate the vibe of those 70s & 80s bands, but they don't really capture it. Steel Panther is the only one I know of that truly gets it, but their lyrics are so (intentionally) filthy that I really don't listen to them. I'm no prude, but they're just so over the top and in your face that I can't do it. Crazy Lixx might be another one that hits the mark, but, other than those two, you have to go to the bands that were actually around during that time if you want that vibe. They're out there if you want to find them.

Excellent song from one of my favourite bands of all time! Have all of their albums and i like most of them This band came out in 1989 but they were never into glam or hard rock, they always had a progressive rock vibe, maybe that´s why the weren´t so popular at the time. The two hits "to be with you" and "wild world" launched them into popularity but you have to listen to more of their albums to really understand their music I´m very sad to hear that their incredible drummer pat torpey is sick and probably wont play again, and as time passes everyone in a band tries solo careers specially the singer and in this case also paul gilbert. I´ve listened to some of paul´s albums but i really don´t dig them. When you form a band you have to understand the meaning "band" and make a difference between "paid musicians". Thumbs up for Billy Sheehan in winery dogs wich i also like very much, but i wish they reunite one more time.
