When I heard of Bob's passing away the other day I felt real sorrow and a true loss. "The Bob Newhart Show" is my 2nd favorite Sitcom of all time. I have to suppose he was until I’m corrected. All of Bob’s other regular patients were wonderful, but Mr. Carlson... what a piece of work! Seriously? I thought the actress playing the Mom was too young looking to have kids that age, and I just assumed the actors playing the kids were older than the ages they were playing. Not sure if it was a trend, but I remember several cases in older movies and TV shows where actresses playing the mother were only a few years older than the ones playing their children.
