I thought the wen was more or less like a goldfish’s blobby jelly-like hair or stratum corneum, dead cells with no nerve endings, but since there’s a possibility of blood, it’s might just it’s own sort of fish thing. From the looks of it, the wen trimming was basically perfect considering the lack of blood and how Mr. Clean was certainly the fish equivalent of near-blackout drunk during the procedure. He probably reacted more to pressure and the visuals of the scissors than actual pain, and even if anything did hurt a bit, I’m sure he’ll not remember much after he sobers up.

The Bible is truth. To understand that you must do the inner work Jesus Christ taught. It all starts in the heart. Everything is about Love. Start with forgiveness. Parents are easiest, they’ve loved you. Working though your issues there as an adult and genuinely forgiving them is an important milestone. Only you can do this work. You must personally look inside to find what I mean. To be forgiven we must forgive. If you can’t forgive people who’ve loved you, who? Nobody. That’s the truth. Refusing to look inside or rejecting that there’s anything that needs worked on is the same as not doing it. It’s a spiritual thing. Just be genuine. If there’s truly nothing there, it should be easy to close your eyes take a breath and mean forgiveness inside. It’s extremely important. It shows faith. Faith isn’t belief. It’s actions bad on belief. Believing in Jesus Christ means putting his teaching into action in your daily life. You have to show God your faith though your actions. Forgiving our parents is actually an extremely important step of faith that God waits to see from us. He stays at arm’s length until you’ve put in the bare minimum amount of work he’s asked for, one mustard seed of faith. That mustard seed is these four steps in order done as an adult. It has to be as an adult btw. Anyone under 20 isn’t going to understand true temptation or how the world works. It’s important. Please trust me. These are those steps, literally the bare minimum effort mark to get into heaven. Forgive your parents, break down before Jesus Christ, ask for forgiveness, and read at least Genesis Mathew and one you chose yourself. Step one is actually key. It primes your soul for the rest. Step 3 cannot be completed correctly without step 1. Also, step 4 should be last. As steps 1-3 prime your soul in different ways so once you read those books God gives you revelations you otherwise wouldn’t get. I’m extremely serious. Jesus Christ is lord. Everyone can look inside their heart to find that truth. Those four steps will help you learn that for yourself if you do them. Please do them, Jesus Christ is the way truth and life.

I finally had the guts to trim one of my heavy headed oranda and I’m so glad I did! Her wen was covering her eyes so I felt bad for her overall life. It was a success and she can see now! I was honestly scared to do the clove. So I hurried up and did it quickly. She didn’t budge much and didn’t have any injuries or blood!🙌 It was quick about 5 mins. So happy for her now. I used a clean towel and a small bowl of tank water to dip her into a few times. I also used a small cuticle scissors. Good luck to anyone trying to help their Goldie’s too!

I've had a very large black moor goldfish(Gill) about 4 years, unfortunately he injured his his eye and developed an infection ( eye complications are super common for these guys unfortunately). I was able to safely remove the eye he was a champ throughout it being removed and didn't fight or show signs of distress. Due to the help of some natural remedies he was very relaxed. Hes been in quarantine for a while over 3 weeks away from his tank mates 2 heal completely . Last week he went back in with his pals and has been doing fantastic since. It was interesting when he went back with the other fish, they surprisingly seemed to remember him. They're smarter than we think. It was so pleasant to see them all so excited! Some people who have heard this have said " oh well I would of flushed that thing" of " lol its just a fish" Seeing so many of these kind comments make me happy, fish are such under appreciated creatures in today's culture compared to ancient times when we began to breed this fish for their colors and traits. Im glad to see so many others who are showing care and compassion to Luke and his fish❤

What an incredible creature. We once bought a goldfish along with a bunch of others and he ended up being completely different breed of goldfish and as he grew he just looked so weird but he was king of the tank. I miss having fish. I think it's extremely important to have different pets as a child/teenager to get an idea on how to care for things in life, I loved maintaining my fish and tank and I recently saw something that rocked my soul. My boyfriend's housemate had the filthiest bacteria infested tank and just killed his poor darling fish, it was not even visible and smelled like poo and rotton bodies and he goes and buys 2 baby snails and goes that'll clean it. Anyways they had to move out and so he just dumps the remainder of the newly bought alive fish n snails on the lawn and just dumps the rank ass tank on the side walk. He also had a child and you can guess just how poorly that kid was treat. Got the heck away from that awful man. Treat your animal and kids properly people. Life is too short to create misery, spread love and care. This video shows how much this man cares for his darling fishies 😍😍

idk what kind of scissors you're using, but have you tried/used iris scissors before? i'm a vet nurse of 10 years and those have always been the vet's go to for extremely delicate areas. there's curved iris scissors that may be helpful since these fishies have such a curve to them! they're easy to find online to buy, too. ok now about the video: you did such a great job omg! thank you for this. i've always wondered how owners do this stuff since i've only really worked in vet med with dogs, cats, reptiles, and rabbits. you're such a good owner, keeper, and breeder. always so impressive and educational, dude! thanks for letting me live my fish keeping hobby vicariously through you since i don't have the time for upkeep right now lol.

Not to mention it's better for the fish to do this rather than let their eyesight get too blinded. He cares for his fish a lot and it shows, he tries to numb the pain the best way he can. Even if it does at times hurt the fish, wouldn't you want to be able to see too?

@@sully9836 fish don't heal in the same way humans do though. This guy's injuries from this will only probably affect him for a few days. There appears to be only a little blood flow if any at all, making this similar to getting a skin graph or having a cyst on your skin removed. So he probably was tender for a bit, but most certainly has zero lasting effects. In fact, fish have been seen swimming and eating with half their bodies missing. Thank you for taking good care of your fishies! When I noticed a lump on the side of my beta fish, I began researching exotic and fish vets immediately; emailing and calling. Had an appointment and everything until a commercial fish doctor was so moved he came to our house at the height of covid to do surgery on my baby. My sweet boy fought the anesthesia so much lol. The lump grew rather quickly again despite medicine, and the doctor sent out a tissue sample to the lab. My sweet beta baby lived so long he developed cancer (4-5 years). I tear up everytime talking about this. He puffed his gills out at everyone except me, my good boy. And he needed not one but two leaf hammocks! He needed to lay in-between them lol and he made such big bubble nests. I miss him so much. He was the brightest color of my day. Now he's swimming in the great ocean of the beyond, and one day I'll see him puff up again.

So I'm vegan o3o and personally--I found your process to be very gentle; you're not a farmer, these fish are your friends and it shows. I have similar feelings towards sheering sheep; if the sheep is your friend, you'll be more careful than someone who's being paid and has to be quick 😢 ppl cut corners. But this was sweet.❤❤❤

Finally a vegan that isn't making their diet their personality. Jokes aside I agree with you too many farmers likely are trying to cut corners just to get paid and it sucks. Not a vegan but I understand why they advocate their animal rights, otherwise that's animal abuse, and that's illegal. Good on ya luke.

A sheep shearer that harms a farmer's sheep will never get hired again. It also ruins the fleece. A good shearer is fast and highly skilled, the sheep just gets a bit manhandled but so do most animals if we need to help them.

All exotic pets have this issue. I breed ball pythons and not many vets specialize in reptiles which is why breeders and keepers of large amounts of exotic animals end up becoming amateur vets themselves. You have to buy all the supplies you need to treat your animals yourself. I only go to a specialist when there is a major problem
