I used to hang around with gang members when I was in school. I moved away, grew up mentally, emotionally and traveled. When I came back to visit my old neighborhood. I realized how stupid and unproductive it was being in a gang.

@nategarcia250
@nategarcia250 4 жыл бұрын
As a Mexican, We're organized a little more, emphasis on the "little", because of the proximity to our country of origin and because the government hasn't tried to sabotage us as much as they have African Americans. We've flown under the radar a bit, but even so the gang enhancements and legal systems penalties towards us and blacks has definitely knocked gang banging out of its heyday as well as just kept both our groups at the bottom of the totem pole economically and socially. On another note, southsiders might get along in the pen, but we still mainly beef with each other on the streets

@Thomas Larkin Whites are on welfare as well, you haven't lowered the bar for anyone nor is it needed. Policies like redlining and the funding of education according to property tax arbitrarily assigned have been the reason for poor education etc. It's also rather strange how coming out of the civil rights movement, crack pops up and military grade weapons start appearing in mass numbers across the country. As far as who the problem is, you people definitely aren't special . Anyone is going to be winning a game they make all the rules too

There's a difference between street gangs and prison gangs. If you don't go to prison, most tend to outgrow gangs. You honestly have to be mentally capped to eventually think it's anything productive. When you're young, you can't see pass the next day. Once you get into your 20s? It's a sad sight to see someone banging with teenagers. Once in prison? It gets divided where the street doesn't matter anymore. And then that's a cycle onto itself. For any of us that grew up in these hoods and either saw passed this early on or lived it and moved on? It's indoctrination. In some ways gangs are worse than cartels and organized crime. You can wrap your head around these people being driven by ego, money, and power. The ability to rise into the upper echelon of society. We romanticize it with Michael Corleaone, Al Capone and Tony Montana. But with street and prison gangs? The blood in blood out rules. The idea of hating and wanting to hurt someone by no other motivation than because they "represent" a different set, color, gang, or anything else? It's the most juvenile and ridiculous way to live a life. I really don't applaud gang members, not that organized crime should be either. But there's something so low brow to want to hurt someone for no reason than because they're not part of what you are. It's worse when it gets divided by race. In so many ways. Gangs are borderline cults. Crime is down in Chicago and Los Angeles compared to the 80s and 90s, despite what the media says, so there's been some awakening in our communities. But gangs have been around in almost every part of a major society. Sad part is, it's a cancer with no cure.

Crime is being UNDER reported in most of California... you need to know that...Homicides in LA are off the charts and mostly latino...then black People of color need to realize that racism won't be a passing fancy until people of color become the least violent people in our society... they are the most

Crime rate tends to go down when criminals stop being prosecuted and sentenced. Don’t worry. Crime will all but disappear next year in Chicago once the new policies for “detain-able offenses” takes effect.

Came out and not only is “his neighborhood” gentrified, so is Echo Park, East Hollywood, Koreatown, and all the other Western parts of Central Los Angeles. We don’t run anything but ourselves and from my understanding there is even a big peace treaty in the joint now. If we really ran something the “big homies” would have put all their money together and invested in property’s and homies that can do construction and remodeling and muscled our these hipsters and developers.

He is right about the structure aspect. S13 (N14 as well) is much more methodical & regulated compared to B’s and C’s. From the sounds of it, with black gangs being unmethodical & disorderly in both Southern California & Chicago, its thinkable that black gangs across the U.S. in general are the same on that front which as Freeway Ricky explained is unfortunate because its power opportunity that has been squandered in favor of the smaller picture as opposed to the bigger picture which is what S13, N14 and Aryan gangs have come to capitalize on.

We can't. The government has poisoned the youth. They have destroyed the homes and family structures. Once the Man(leader) is gone? The house crumbles. They push homosexuality on young men/teens and boys. We can't overthrow when we have emotional men wanting to be women lol. We can't overthrow when we have manly women wanting to be men but can't do men duties. The government was smart. They planned this shit way back then and knew... Weaken the strongest link... The Man. Then destroy unity amongst cultures in their own box. You have black on black and hispanic on hispanic crime. And the youth today is definitely not going to pick up the gun or the flag and fight! The media controls kids now more then parents.
