@@jonnylpenman I don't think that's true. He plays them without processing in the video you linked. Of course, there will be some compression and reverb, but that's the case with any amplified performance.

I met this guy 40 years ago in France: what a pleasure to see him again thanks to internet. He tauhgt us at the time a bunch of Bulgarian an Macedonian tunes which he collected himself over there. I still am amazed by his creativity! Thank you Linsey

That's not a 'fart sound', that is just Linsey Pollak doing his thing. You may be confusing it because sometimes an anal sphincter produces similar sounds, but generally we refer to that as anally pollaking
