Clowning on Elon is always funny but kind of disappointing to see playing games at a high level being laughed at and also labeled “anti-social.” There are competitive games that really do demand high level skill, quick and thoughtful decision making, and many other skills that are akin to professional athletes in more traditional sports.

Re: Elon lying about video games, the most damning part is when he describes his items. He clearly knows nothing about items work in the game. He judges the items based on their level requirements (must be level X to equip this weapon) and completely ignores the relevant info on the weapon that basically says "I am incredibly rare and will turn you into a tiny god" Armor that only drops from the hardest boss on the hardest difficulty level? He dismisses it as "only level 52". If you have played the game even a small amount, you rapidly learn that you only look at the item level to learn if you are able to equip it. Virtually no correlation to item quality, yet that's the sole criterion he is using to judge. He very clearly did not acquire the gear on his own.

Ya, I’m not a gamer but watching that whole video is hilarious when you get to the parts about the maps and items. I watched it with my teen because we love anything that dunks on Musk.

Sadly just got booted and censored neat. Disappointed but not surprised that all this talk about fascism would be reflected in promoting the same behavior you discredit. Time for some serious self reflection or just turn off the comments. I responded to another person who called it an apartheid academically it doesn’t qualify for this category by definition. It is a genocide and colonialism but not an apartheid. Just because you show up last minute to a complex history and topic with many moving parts that regurgitating rhetoric by throwing every bad word for every bad situation doesn’t fit. Dissent is not something tolerated on both sides and academics tend to have unpopular opinions because of an unwillingness to just bobblehead to consensus. A little weird that the mod is trying to refute her actions with an alt account. But it’s not difficult to see where I was actively engaged and then disappear. Again having and respecting a dissenting voice is tolerated by true liberals not those hypocrites dressing up and cosplaying as defenders of dialogue and debate. You cannot truly say you fight fascism but politely dabble in it when it suits only your voice. If my position is accurate I am not afraid of any debate or disagreement and I certainly don’t need to silence criticism to protect my ego. Ironic on a video mocking Elon who engages in the exact same thing. Just turn off comments if you are not interested in discussion. Disappointed but not surprised. I’ve seen this on the left more than the right. Odd I’ve been the only one in right wing live debates who never block me but here it’s fine.
