It's a safe assumption given his skills and comfort with heavy weaponry. He seems to excel at logistics and long range support/cover, whereas Ray is the shit kicker and front line guy. I think Gaz is a criminal in general, too, but deals more in weapons and stolen goods to earn his money. He's connected to the criminal world, given how easily he got info that led them to the child nabbers, end of season 2, but I get the impression he really only goes on "hits" with Ray, to help Ray specifically, not that he is a hitman himself. He will back Ray up any time, and will Ray do the same.

@@nicholashale6620 I didn't see any of the whole episodes, but this might work for the child nappers. Gary has some pretty kinky stuff, and probably came across the people who were really into it, by the net, or some kind of meetup. He files the info. Then, when ray needs it, gary connects the dots.
