Be honest, when Mr. Satan first appeared, you didn’t like him because he seemed like that cliche “strong guy” character that thinks he’s stronger than everyone until he gets his ass kicked by the main character, like a majority of side side characters in Dragon Ball, but the more Mr. Satan appeared, you just couldn’t help but love the goof ball and you end up hoping his reputation never crumbles.

We all know the joke, but I feel like people don’t give him enough props for his actual abilities, and I’m not just talking about the charisma/buu stuff. For a while he was a legitimate world champion and, for a normal human, he is actually pretty strong. Remember that time he pulled several busses and then punched through the metal side of one? It just so happens that there are people that have actual super strength, laser beams, teleportation, and what is essentially magic going around and he didn’t want to get involved with it. Put him in a world with actual regular people and he would stand out as a beast of a man.

This guy was an absolute full-of-himself, egghead, showboat. But come the events of dragonball super, as much of a knucklehead he was, he turned out to be a good man. Loved his planet and loved his family to the letter. Despite his flamboyance and massive ego, this man was a good man. He used to get on my nerves big time in Z/Kai, but through the events of super, he has solidified himself as a good man and likeable character. And he actually does deserve a healthy amount of credit in saving the world during the Buu Saga.
