Govt Debt, sitting in Tresuries Accounts at the FED, is simple private sector savings. $22T of private sector savings, what's wrong with that?, how else other than taxes can you drain reserves from the economy in order to prevent inflation. Peter knows nothing about how Central Banking works, no clue...but he has profited from the scaremongering very well...and gained legions of followers, like yourself.

If you think housing subprime is ominous, you ought to check out the Fast Food Subprime Mortgage. That's right! McDonald's, Burger King's, Chick-fil-A, etc. etc.. I agree with most of what Schiff says but when he talks about recreating the business environment of the early 1900's, we need to remember that there were enormous hazards that came with having a factory job in addition to the total disregard for any environmental concerns. Life in the cities at that time held opportunities but also tremendous costs.
