Mr Steele's Drone vs Haiku Stairs "Stairway to Heaven"

I was pretty hesitant mainly because we had to evade multiple layers of security not knowing anything other than some sketchy online info about this illegal and dangerous hike.
The lead up to the hike was about 3 hours of us fumbling through the woods starting at 3am, avoiding security and taking the longest possible wrong way we could. Eventually we make it to the trail head and start our ascent.

+PeterSripol hahah thanks Peter. You have to do this hike. I was saying we need a tactical Van that we can roll up in, park on the side of the highway, launch a wing from the sliding door. And there's a swivel chair inside and a command station. With antennas on the roof that are signal tracking. Pilot chills with the cam door open ripping the ridge then we drive away and follow the van and land somewhere far far away :). Let's make the FPV TACTICAL VAN Happen Petter

Security is pretty tight over there, the other building you see is called Omegas, it was a system to bring all supplies up the mountain. Also it was offices, instead of going left to go to the stairway you could've went right and got there from the same entrance,

We all know your flying abilities in more controlled environments, but when U integrate other experiences and quad flying, you step up a notch. That place is one of a kind and it helps, but its always more interesting seeing Steele as Steele, having the shakes while flying that epic ridge, and so on, you get the Idea. I grew up in Haiku Valley, right at the foot of Stairway to Heaven, and remember how beautiful the valley was before H-3 (the freeway through the valley) was built. it's an old wwii era staircase shutdown for safety and liability reasons, it's kapu - pidgin for forbidden/taboo - even having an official "kapu" sign. the entrance is technically at private property, and there's a guard that scopes the place out from 2am ish on. You can get cited for trespassing...
