Much of the technology inside drones existed in his dad's childhood: television, radio controls, microchips, automated flight control, batteries. It just got miniaturized and became cheaper.

Spectrum analyzer seems like a key tool to have for anyone serious about flying. A full video dedicated to it is a must! Haven't seen anyone even talk about them other than you so please do share.

Hi Steele, thanks for your amazing videos ! If I'm not mistaken, the shortest antenna on the RFExplorer is a narrow band 2.4GHz Whip antenna, referring to the user manual (eventhough that seems counter-intuitive). The rubberduckie antenna you put on the right is designed for 5.8GHz but also good for 2.4GHz band. Maybe you should swap these two antennas. Hope that helps... keep up the good work! Can't wait to see your next flights ! Take care.

Esa Edvik American houses are made of wood instead of stone and concrete like in Europe, so 5.8ghz has a much much easier time penetrating the walls and floors :)

Mr steele I watched a video of yours about lipo batteries I'm sure you sayed it's better to leave your batteries at a low rundown when you can't get out to fly with the bad weather what's really the best way to keep them in a good working order steele. and what's a good storage charge to set them at when I can't get out to fly. as I'm in Scotland and it's not been very dry lately to get out to play haha

Hey Steele, after you use the analyzer when you're going to fly new spots, if you find there is noise on a certain band, how do you change your gear to adapt to a different band? Changing bands on the vtx is simple but what about on your transmitter? I also find that on punch outs when I pass a certain altitude my video starts to get choppy. Any quick fixes to this? Thanks man!
