Dude appreciate the video and the work you've been doing. I've been out of the FPV game for a bit now but I just hopped back in with 2x Apex and a similar setup to yours as I always flew your setups in the past and found them to be rock solid. I just ordered the v4's along with a set f DJI v2 goggles as I think I'm going to enjoy digital quite a bit more and I'll still have a pair of old trusties hanging around if need be. cheers brotha.

I've been using v3 motors for a while now and they work great. I ended up buying some V4 bells as replacements if/when I bash my v3s up.

That IS the patina. Tumbling is the act of accelerating the weathering.

i have got a small question ,, as a beginner ,, in silk edition the 2306 2345kv the diameter of the Shaft is 4mm , is that okay with 5mm holes in the props ?

I am still flying with my V2 motors. They have some play in the bearings but still do a good job since 2018. I got a set of the V4 motors and would like to see how they performe, but I wait until I build a new quad or my old motors die in a crash. :-)

Aluminum forms oxide really fast, that actually is the patina. People have a lot of extra money saved due to the corona, so everyone wants a piece of that pie. The prices have increased considerably simply out of greed, not because of the manufacturing. Even the products that were manufactured before the shitstorm are now 50-150% more expensive, not because they have to be but because reasons.

V3 = Slightly less power, but a tad more responsive / throttle control is more precise. Hero Session motors all day. V4 = More power for carrying the hero 8-10. Noticed they do fly like heavier motors though. Love the shit out of both of them.

@@r00kiet80 plenty of people have expressed the desire for this video. Sure you can just do it yourself like anything with drone building. But people want to see the way Steele chooses to do it. I’ve already got mine up and flying with the vista, but I still want to see how Steele does it. It may be a better method than the one I used. Why have any videos out there about stuff with this logic? There’s pro athletes that still enjoy seeing how others dunk the ball!

I’ve changed and molded countless times now so maybe you’re mistaking a prototype bell design for a completely different motor with different magnet and stator design for a v5

This may sound ridiculous...hear me out though. You should make a cheaper motor. I guarantee you would be able to buy another exotic car with a $15.00 motor on the market. Before you bash me, I know his motors are worth every penny but affordable motors in this hobby are invaluable.

Sounds promising. But that goes against the ethos of my company .. so. Sorry. For now We will continue making the highest quality we can and offering great customer service. Your paying for the refinement and formula that has taken me years to dial in. Plus the motors alone with cost increases now cost the manufacture about as much as you want retail prices to be.
