Arguably one of the least talked about important moments in wrestling history. Wrestlemania 1 had bad advances for closed circuit theaters and the original host for SNL this episode got sick. Hulk and Mr T got the hosting spot and the advance jumped the same day for Wrestlemania and the rest is history.
@kalvingoodlaxson3 жыл бұрын
The original host that was scheduled for this episode, Steve Landesburg does appear in this episode only doing stand-up as a guest performer that night after being sick that week.
@Slashboss3 ай бұрын
Best move they coulda made for everyone.. WWF saved face and was able to make that profit at the closed circuit areas and the promotion for the show was 100% what they needed. Meanwhile the show was able to replace the dud they had originally scheduled with 2 hosts way more interesting. Watched Landesburg's stand up on this show before.. so boring. Hulk and T weren't comic actors but they were culturally hot then and the show made good use of them, that Friday the 13th skit and the Fernando skit were quite fun.
