Nicest demo even heard from this machine, I had a D-50 once and sold it because it sounded to metallic for me, so I bought a JD-800 and a JD-990 for the warmer sound. Now I realise the D-550 can also sound warm if you take the time to program it. Thanks for sharing this track ! ---> EDIT: I missed the D-50 so much that I bought another one and a D-550, now they will never ever leave my home studio ;-)) Me happy

this thing is impossible to program, must have tons of patience. sold it in a month (and also hated the noise of the samples)

Programming is a breeze with the iPG-800 editor for iPad, itunes.apple.com/be/app/ipg-800/id542179981?l=nl&mt=8 it's like having all the controllers of the JD-800 available for the D-50 !!! The noise is not an issue for a synth of that age. I love my D-50 and D-550 and will never even sell them ;-)

@ Needle Factory: I have the www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irigmidi2/ No need for an extra camera connection kit in that case (but I have one for other purposes). Camera connection kit is OK for synths with USB connectivity (MOX6, MX, Integra7,...)

I love this vid. I had d50 and a gr50 both stolen 6 years ago. I did recently get the do5 and just picked up a wavestation a/d. Digi heaven to go with the minilogue and dm6 and xwp1. Mucho fun. You are great i hope to get there like you soon.

Great job! Nicely engrossing and emotive track ^^ Very jealous of your D-550 + PG-1000 combo. It is the gear i most wish i had! But where i live it's impossible to find. So i'm left wishing Roland would remake it in some form or another, which will never happen because they are weird and stubborn :-(
