MR2 Mk1 Restored in less than 5 minutes

A short video showing the restoration of my Toyota MR2 Mk1 that went from a 12 year outside neglected hibernation to road legal and being enjoyed for the purpose that it was built for.

You are a lucky man. That all I want to say you bought a rusty non running aw11 mr2 with fully intact c pillar trim. That is the rarest thing for a aw11 mr2

This feels like it is a true celebration of every project car owner's joy, and it's both heartwarming and heartbreaking to see this, knowing what happened to the car in the hands of it's next owner :( Really cannot like this video enough though, and thanks for inspiring us all throughout the build mate. Just wanted to say that since this series and my previous comment, I've gone and bought an F reg T-bar project, which was rescued from a barn. Thanks again, and here's to your next project(s)!

Love the video man! My grandmas cousin has a 1985 mk1 mr2 that has been sitting in a grass field for over 15 years now. I’m in the process of buying it off of her and am really looking forward to fixing it up. Keep up the amazing content!! Finally got confirmation, I officially own 2 aw11’s!! Turns out grandmas cousin had 2. One for parts one to build.

It is my dream car as well and my uncle had one sitting in a shed in the back of my grandmas yard. Sat for 15 years me and my dad got it running. Everything thing resto nation has done to his we have done to ours

Alex Toossi well hopefully I will be able to put up a video about the process so far in the car. Like he said the gas tank hard to get out. It sucks so much. It’s a very simple car in the interior and front trunk. But the engine bay is tight and very hard to mess with small things.

Alex Toossi very true! Is you want one they are quite available but they parts really aren’t. It really depends where you live. Where I live I know where about 12 of them are within 2 hours of my house
