I have a FDE (RAL7008?) slimline stock and it is very much a mil-spec diameter and use it on my MR556A1.

Interesting. The Slimline stocks are definitely comspec by nature. HK germany advertises them as such and the ones I got imported are all com-spec. Don't fit my milspec tubes.

The Zion is a true AR-15 with a DI gas system. The 416 has a short-stroke gas system (so completely different). And somehow the 416 is superior enough that many LE units in Europe, and armies such as the Norwegian, German, French, Luxembourg, the USMC and many others trust over any DI AR-15 (including the Zion)...
