Definitely wood. Is there much appreciable heat difference between the 4060 and 4080 Super? I've never done a small form factor build but I imagine that could be a factor.

Wood. As a fan Fractal/Be Quiet I'd I would love this version. Currently using the CoolerMaster NR200P MAX with AIO Case. Housing my 7950X-3D/MSI 4090 Slim X and am looking to change up my case and cooling. I've been torn between this case and the ASUS case. Also want to go back to Air Cooler, Have the Dark Rock Pro 5 on my list as well, but finding a good Micro ATX motherboard that satisfies me is hard to find.🤔

I love how the look of A3 gives strong Atari 2600 vibes. I built a system using this case in August and it was a very forgiving layout with lots of mounting points and options. A lot of people comment on the size of this case, which is still pretty big and takes up the full depth of my desk. I had to evacuate for the hurricanes and the A3 filled up a whole blue IKEA bag. I don't know how people live with full towers in their homes. The fog machine clips in this video are genius. Wonderful camera work.

I bought this exact case (black/mesh/wood slat front) a couple weeks ago as I wanted something that will look great in my living room, as an HTPC/gaming PC. I have yet to build it even though I have all the parts, just haven't been able to find the time nor the motivation. This video is great inspiration to get on with it.
@SantiagoGomezJorge26 күн бұрын
The only thing that I'd like to see a bit more in your vids is the cable management side. I think that one of the most important part of why your builds look amazing is because your cable management is excellent. I know it might disrupt a bit the flow of the video, but it would be nice to see how you solve this part, which to me is probably one of the hardest when it comes to building in smaller cases. Do you recommend using custom cables to alleviate the pain of management? If so, which ones do you get usually? I think we don't have a Cablemod substitute in the UK, or at least I couldn't find one. And most of the time Amazon doesn't have a lot of cablemod stuff. Great video as always, cheers!
@Mr_Matt_Lee26 күн бұрын
Thanks matey! Appreciate that, the cable management process is indeed quite a thing, but with that said I am currently planning a comprehensive video about cable management which will have a voiceover (similar to the airflow, liquid & air videos etc). I think there’s a lot of merit in talking about the best way to approach cable management and where it all begins in the build process 😊 I actually try to avoid extensions at all cost, not because they are problematic, but more because I don’t like having additional cables in what already feels like a maze of them 😅 I’ll do my best to get said video filmed, produced and published early Jan 👌
@strikezx26 күн бұрын
I like this idea, though to not disrupt the flow of any particular video, maybe a dedicated video. One that MML can share some cable management tips etc from miniITX to ATX etc of cases he has done in the past. It doesn't have to be a long one (I say that knowing the shooting and editing will take much longer than the actual produced video). :) @Mr_Matt_Lee, I look forward to each video that comes out. Thank you for the efforts that are put into each of them.
@tho431826 күн бұрын
@@Mr_Matt_Lee In that case maybe you can provide people with your insight on what power supplies you've come across that have good cables out of the box, what ones are too short, and what are your go to custom cables etc.

I am a subscriber here from Taiwan, thank you Matt for sharing all your PC building videos, they are art pieces too! and just wondering, perhaps one day you can design a PC case of yourself? I have just built a brand-new high-performance PC based on your videos as the reference, but I was so shocking about the heat it can generate, and there is no single direction for the heat to be pushed out so maybe a duct pipe can connect to it to the window, the PC heat is so uncomfortable in summer time~ I believe a well-designed PC case, AIO can help solving this problem~

Another fantastic build! Thanks for the GPU insights-such a small detail, but very relevant here. On a related note, I’ve noticed you tend to use NVIDIA GPUs in most of your builds. As someone new to PC building, I’ve been researching the differences between AMD and NVIDIA GPUs, and now I’m torn between an ASUS RX 7800 XT and an ASUS RTX 4070 (specific variant still undecided). The idea of stepping up to an RX 7900 XT/XTX or an RTX 4080 is tempting, but the price jump makes me hesitate, and I’m still not fully decided. If you have the time and interest, I’d love to hear your perspective on how you approach choosing between GPU brands. Thanks, Matt, for all the incredible builds and content this year. You’ve shared so much knowledge and inspiration. Here’s to all the thermal paste you’ve applied and, of course, the coffee that’s fueled your creativity!

Finally an open front ! This makes it a great alternative to the AP201 / D31 / D41 Mesh. One little suggestion : in this configuration, the CPU cooler should pull fresh air from the rear, meaning the fan should be on the opposite side. I have validated this with my AP201s.
