Steven Seagal is a decent actor, does good fight scenes, but whats kept him from being great is that he is never challenged in his movies, none of them. You never see him get hurt, and never think that hey he might lose, like a action hero is supposed to struggle to beat the villains, but not him. So until that happens he will never be legendary like Van Damme or Stallone.
@McClure277 жыл бұрын
Actually, the only movie I've seen where Seagal is given a run for his money is in the final fight in Marked for Death when he takes on Screwface's twin. That's about as close as Seagal has come to facing an equally skilled opponent in his on-screen career, well before the constant self-indulgent narcissistic shit-flicks like 'On Deadly Ground' came to movie theaters and started further boosting Seagal's ego (and subsequently, his waistline). I stopped following Seagal's work after 'Under Siege 2: Dark Territory' and one of the few reasons why THAT movie is entertaining is due to Eric Bogosian's delightfully eccentric and over-the-top portrayal of Travis Dane (along with the laughably bad green screen effects).Otherwise, I avoid Seagal's films like the plague. I'm not making the same mistake I made when I willingly sat through the cancerous CGI-laden diarrhea dumpster fire known as "Out for A Kill." The only thing more laughable than Seagal's films nowadays is his reputation, but that's pretty much common knowledge.

There was a movie scene here on YT with Seagal where he was fighting an Asian guy in a barber shop (I believe....), and he was nearly beaten up. I forget the movie name, sorry.

Seagal isn't an actor. He's a stuntman that does his own acting. However, I think this is one his best scenes. Because I like the way it ended.

Still love the aftermath of this fight, when he gets his point across and they both say to one another they need time and leave in peace. Just goes to show, it's not always about who is strongest, fastest or (in this guy's opinion) "manliest", it's about respect for one another and that's what matters in the end. I remember this fondly, because it reminds me of the kind of lesson Bruce Lee would teach others, albeit students, friends or opponents.
