I'm all for this market growing and innovating. Light, mobile, external displays seem like such a dream companion to the thinner/lighter laptops that still pack in a ton of power we'll continue to see roll out in the next few years.

Yeah it's crazy isn't it. You can literally have a 2 screen, video editing beast fit inside your backpack with room left for a PB&J sandwich 😆

Macbooks will only charge at the wattage of the supplied power supply. For example, the new Macbook airs are supplied with a a 30w charge and can only charge at 30w. Plugging them into a higher wattage charger doesn't charge them any quicker. Really enjoying these vids

Good review, quite comprehensive. The resolution however seemed to suggest the design use case. More of a basic second screen with touch for remote work rather than a design and content editing tool. I'd guess the price of a higher resolution and brighter device would differ accordingly

Somebody (Dell) needs to design and build a range of super high-quality portable Monitors (13inch, 15 and 17 inch).

Did they solve the multi touch issue with Apple m1 devices? (I'm waiting for my m1 mac mini and I'm in the market for a small touch screen monitor as my second monitor screen). Thanks for the review👍

I wonder if the device will emit 'buzzing' sound whenever the unit is turned on? I just returned a monitor by another brand that produced the annoying sound whenever I turn it on. Seller said the noise is normal for all portable monitor but my laptop was quieter than the portable monitor.

I’ve been dragging a monitor to live muticam shoots. This would be easier to carry in with less chance of messing up my desktop monitor.

This is a good one. But my concern is these companies should have a user serviceable battery

Hello good video, I only have one question if you do not mind, in this review you said that you can power the monitor with only one cable and also use the monitor, even through your phone, but that doesn't work for me on my laptop. I have to have 2 of the cables plugged in at the same time, two usb or 1 usb 1 hdmi etc. What am I doing wrong?
@hendroriyadi88983 жыл бұрын
I read on Amazon review that the touch screen only works if we setup the ViewSonic as mirror image to the main machine its connected to (instead of extended monitor) . Is that correct? Thanks

Just my two cents from experience, FWIW: Might not be a perfect solution for video editors, but for business consultants, it's great. Being constantly on the road, giving presentations to small groups or in spaces where there's no projector, no projection space, sometimes not even a meeting room, it can be tough. Whether showing a PPT, video presentation, or walking a client through real-time analytics, there's power and polish in giving them their own screen rather than crowding around a laptop. Working in downtime between meetings, that extra screen gives back productivity of multi-window use with full-screen apps like Tableau, Excel, etc. I don't LOVE the 1080p and other display limitations, or the glossy display glare, but for the price, this gets the job done. Sure beats hauling a projector to small meetings, too. Quality projectors cost $600+ USD; they generally don't travel well for very long, and there's no battery lack option. These portable monitors ease a lot of consultancy road warrior pain points, at least. FWIW.
