You're a really good narrator, that was relaxing. I never knew Van life was such a popular thing. I've been checking it out since my boyfriend's daughter told us 2 weeks ago, she bought a Van she'll live in and is moving to Los Angeles in July. They are remodeling it as we speak. It's so cool seeing how you transformed your Van to your liking, you have everything you need, and you guys are happy. Everyday is different. I know now this is the right decision for her, she knows what she's doing, and she'll be fine. Thank you so much for sharing your lives, it gives me a better idea of what it will be like for her. I'll make sure she checks out your Channel too. She'll love it.

Love your idea of a towel curtain divider. It could provide a division between the front cab and bed area if one wants to sleep earlier then the other. And you get dry towels in the morning. Put a fan one side or the other side of the wet towels on a hot day or night and you have instant air conditioning. Love it!! 💁
@Mrandmrsadventure4 жыл бұрын
Glad you like it. The airflow you talk about is exactly;y what happens with the two ceiling vents. the air travels throughout the van and dries things quickly. The dashboard is also a perfect drier too. 💕

That was such a nice calming video to watch at work. Really appreciate that helping the dove was your first thought and getting video of it was an after thought. I would enjoy a video or some videos explaining/demonstrating practical skills for the van. Like when you leveled the van and used the plastic straps to get out of the jam. Being up among the pines - love the view! I'm in Ohio and it is starting to reopen - I pray people take it slow....I think too much is reopening all at once but we'll see how everyone goes about still keeping distance, still wearing masks and gloves - good for those who can go back to work but as my one son told - it is all different and after two months, he has to get his speed back. I'm truly not pushing - so I'm taking another deep breath in and slowly releasing it....It is very calming.....Take care - looking forward to another video of how you two are doing! ♡

You Guys! Great story to tell your grandchildren someday....we like to reminisce about running into a freak snowy windstorm below Bakersville, Ca. We were in our cabovercamper....and as a snowstorm threatened to rock us off the road (or where we thought the road might be)....we pulled into a roadside tavern to ask the owner if we could park there overnight. He offered to let us sleep in our sleeping bags on his floor....for fear the camper would blow over. We declined....but after he closed up, we were rocked with such forceful winds that we wondered if we hadn't made a bad decision. When morning came with the wind died down....we looked out at the tavern....the whole roof had blown off. Doubtfull we would have survived the devastation that was inside. Our decision to stay in the camper was the right one.....But boy, did we rock!....and not in the good way! 😉 Chalk it up to another adventure, kids....another good story you will have as a memory when travel time is over. Sign us ...the Elder Mr. and Mrs.Adventure

Good to see you both, and yes! Palm Springs gets hot and doesn’t cool off in the evening, very similar to Las Vegas heat. It looks like those mountains are near my neck of the woods. As of today, 5/7/20 there is still peaks with snow. We are in the foothills at 4000 ft. The weather has changed and day temps went from 70 in the to peak at 86 by 5pm. The nights always cool off quickly and are amazing. Before you showed the snake I was going to warn you. They look for cool spots in the morning and at dusk so be very careful especially around the rocks and shady spots. Always look while your walking as they will also lay out right in the middle if there is a cool spot. That guy looked like an adult and you also have to beware of the babies. Golfer snakes can look like rattlers though are harmless and keep the bad ones away. All in all, be aware! Another spot could be under the Van where it’s cool so always check under there. The thorns of the Rose bush! So the heat is just beginning and being in higher elevation and with shade will be necessary. Do you have AAA? I wondered that when you got stock and said, ‘who would we call?’ Have you looked for places closer to the Ocean towards SD or up the coast? Is there any BLM land?
@Mrandmrsadventure4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your concern. We have lots of ideas for places we can go. Yes, we do have towin, but I am certain we would have been on our own way out on those roads. Ideal van temps are 60 at night and 80 during the day.

was glad to see the notice that you'd submitted a new video this morning...also glad that you got out of the hundred degree plus heat, and made it to a higher elevation...but that road was fierce! Reminded me of when my partner and I were driving on a back road that suddenly turned into a boulder-strewn creekbed as we were coming out of the mountains. I was driving and we kept stopping to get out and figure a way through some really (mouth-drying) turns at about 2mph. My stomach actually got tight watching the video. Hope all is smooth for you now, and for a very long time.

As an avid off roader for 30 years I think I could have made it. But with 30 years of experience I can say it wasn't worth the risk. You made a wise choice. Thumb up 👍

I loved Ann's place but Yikes 100 and no air is a no bueno for me. So glad you found a great spot. But I have to say, I kept wondering where the snake was as you were walking around. lol At 8k ft, that air must be awesome. You picked a great place. I love being in the forest. Thanks for sharing the coyote howls. I used to hear that every night. That is surely what I miss about living in Big Bear - I could just Breath.... and enjoy the forest and peace. I am so excited, I got my 2 maxxfan deluxe in today. I am dropping them off to my van builder. I am putting in 2 for good circulation for the dogs when needed. Now that things are slowly opening up - with precautions of course, I am going to do a small road trip when I get me van back. Can't wait. As always, I so enjoyed you video. Thank you for sharing and continue to stay safe.

I LOVED this video! This is my favorite one so far. Love the more “freestyle” approach. It’s very genuine. Can you please share your campground and exactly where you are? It’s beautiful and I want to add it to my list!!

Absolutely!! This makes us so happy to hear! 🤗 We don't share our spots publicly, we hope you can understand. The earth is a limited resource (so are spots) and we encourage others to explore the unknown take on adventures of their own. 💚 Ps. You might even find a better spot in the region.

Really good stuff! From bake oven to cool mountain air with a view! Looks like Mr. Snake was just chillin and the coyote clan is celebrating spring! The hang-up on the trail couldn't stop you and the flex-trax came in handy eh? Looks like just the right rear wheel has traction- typical rear wheel drive unless you get a diff lock I'm thinking. But ya did good! I love the way you two just overcome obstacles. Hey, I live in northern Michigan and although we've been hunkered down the restrictions are slowly coming off and the state is greening up beautifully. I was at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore last weekend and the Lake Superior coastline was beautiful. Please consider exploring Michigan. Lots of state and national forest land with free camping. My place on 5 wooded acres near Higgins and Houghton Lakes is surrounded by natural beauty. You're welcome to park here, stay in the house, whatever you'd like. I'd love to meet you both and share some stories and bread. Great time of year. So, stay safe, enjoy our great outdoors and keep howling at the moon! Patrick R Demers

I used to stay in Ludington for weeks at a time as a kiddo. Never been to the UP and we have always talked about wanting to explore up there. You're place sound gorgeous on the lake. I know friends who travel up to Houghton in the winter for snowmobiling and ice fishing. Thanks for your offer. Let's keep in touch. 😁

Hi Adventure Folks! Sorry to see you very uncomfortable in the sweltering heat. Major appliance stores sell "wall mounted A/C units (120 VAC) for about $650"; do it yourself installation. It does not need any conduits or drilling. Just place it inside by a room's ceiling, and you are ready to go. It works/adjusts by remote control, included. It usually ships free to US addresses. Electric fans do not cool your space, once the temperature reaches above 85F. As far as the views of rock formations...you need to travel to the "Baths" in Virgin Gorda - British Virgin Islands, or if you have very deep $$$$$$ pockets...to Maldives islands in the Indian Ocean. Besides drinking fluids with electrolytes, stock-up on a couple of bottles of "Pedyalites"; high concentration of electrolytes that doctors prescribe to people suffering from diarrhea or dehydrated. Have a great day! (A retired engineer)

Thanks for the tips! I was at the Baths snorkeling when I was 6. Incredible place. I loved all the ladders between the rocks. It's definitely the water version of where we were. I bet the Maldives are surreal. We have talked about different rolling units, but enjoy the escape and adventure to the next place 😁🚐💨

not sure whether you had already done this, but for the off road section, airing down (20 psi or lower) helps to the ride smoother, but does not necessarily help in any ground clearance. Obviously you would need a compressor to pressure up before getting back in the paved roads.
@Mrandmrsadventure4 жыл бұрын
That's a great tip! We don't carry a large compressor pump. It would be a great thing to have for situations like such.
