The key is BALANCE. The buildup is supposed to contrast to the climax to build hype, but being too short or long ruins the flow. Sometimes having no buildup is better.

I must say that Legion by Robert Slump is my favourite song on this list, and my second favourite song of Robert (Only behind Flashpoint still). The song just has a unique atmosphere and makes me feel like I am a hero who just realised what I’m fighting for, and because of that managed to drag myself out of the abyss. And start to focus all my efforts on the task at hand.
