omg my guy you have just saved me on an issue I've had for my fish pond. My waterfall foam turned all green and it literally looks like crap. i couldn't find any great paints that are fish friendly and my pond supply store had no other suggestions than to remove the waterfall foam by hand. I do not want to do that, I spent too much time on the waterfall last summer. but now because of your video I realized I can just cover that nasty green colour with cement so it looks a lot more natural. thank you thank you thank you!!!!

Nice job, but a couple of small suggestions (from a builder) :- 1) Cut the door mesh before you fix it to the frame. You can then cut it back from the edge to avoid getting scratched. 2) Hinge the acces door from the bottom so you don't hve to hold it out of the way when removing the water basin. Cheers

I love the water feature and the birds are enjoying it. You did a great job constructing it. I would not have thought it was made of styrofoam. Looking forward to the next video. Are the birds nesting yet? Take care.

Thanks, the owl finches and the quails are nesting. The goulds and star finches went into molt after they were put outside and the cordon blue is dancing a lot with nesting material in his beak so hopefully soon.

Very big and then it's even better to add a filter which will remove all the poop and dirt

Hey Wouter, If you are from the Netherlands you can order it on MrEpoxy.nl it just the clear version with a pigment added.

Great video!! How much food in grams do you recommend for 7 finches? Each day. I know they say around half their body weight per bird but 25%-50% of that needs to be veggies and fruit. Could anyone let me know a good balance ratio. Many thanks x

I just look every day how much they eat and refresh it everyday. After a while you get a good feeling how much you need to feed them.

Don't know but their will be a strong layer of cement en epoxy over it so the birds can't get to it

On a different topic, my male zebra finch escaped my flight and left the hen with four chicks and more eggs to look after, will she cope on her own? Maybe put the remaining eggs in another nest? Tia.

You could put the eggs in another nest. If there is enough food she can take care of the chicks by here self.
