With the 'can' opener- Reason you're getting bad results is the can has no structural integrity after the lid comes up and the pressure is released. Take an empty can, cut the lid off with scissors, fill it with water, and try to simply hold it in the middle. You'll get why it failed.

That gadget for the washing up liquid.. A tip is to "thin the liquid out" (if you get what I mean) with some water. I used to have a similar one quite a long time ago. The liquid itself is often to thick to really go through the tiny hole. So I used to mix half liquid and half water. Worked like a charm everytime!

I actually watched Freakin' Reviews testing the original Draft Top earlier! The only real upside to that gadget in my opinion is that you can get all the liquid out for recycling. And apparently there's a real learning curve to it and you need to hold the can either at the bottom or top (don't squeeze the middle) and release some pressure beforehand if it isn't working, but yeah, he was getting drink all over, too, especially when he pushed the can lids in, if he got them to open. About the bag sealers, I think it really is a hit or miss thing, some seem to work, others don't.

The bag sealer you are not supposed to hold it at that angle. Hold it straight up that's why the heater bar is horizontal otherwise you are just ripping the bag more. Hope this helps!

I had the original actifry, unfortunately after about a year of use the paddle seemed to start destroying the food. Chips were often crispy potato dust. Will have to see if they've improved the paddle. Best thing in an air fryer. Sweet potatoes covered in sweet paprika and onion powder. Lush!!

I had the exact same problem - I actually tried samosas and they ended up smeared around the fryer in a smushy layer. Also, making roast potatoes in the Actifry took the same amount of time as doing them in the oven, so it hasn't been used in about three years.

You can get replacement paddles and pans. I'm assuming it's the coating becoming less non stick. I found a new paddle and pan pretty cheap. It was like new then. Overall its easily the best air fryer and the paddle is very useful.

@@Matt19matt19 wish I had thought of that years ago. Just recently bought a ninja cooker instead now.

I once had to cut up a lot of cans for an art project, and the wall thickness of cans can vary a lot. Some countries tend to have really thin walled aluminium cans that are very easy to cut. Maybe the product was aimed at that.

Yup, cans from Great Britain, the US and Australia have a narrower top and a thicker wall, while cans in some Asian countries have a wider top and thinner wall. I believe the gadget is for the latter mostly, since the look and construction of it screams made in China

As a person who eats samosas and butter chicken a lot I would personally do the butter chicken on the stove with more ingredients but the samosas work well in the air frier

After some googling, sponges are green and yellow because the sponge animal is naturally yellow and had a thick green layer of algae on it, so when artificial sponges were invented it was to help people trust the new technology
