Here's a little Arnold fact for you. When Schwarzeneggers films are translated into German, he does not dub his own voice, despite being fluent in German. This is because to german speakers, he has a stereotypical 'farmers' accent. Imagine someone with a west country accent going around jumping from explosions.

I'm Austrian, and it was really entertaining how often you called us Australian. All the snacks now really make me look forward to the Winter Break (I live in Scotland). There is no such good food as Dragee Keksi and some Knabber Nossi and some Soletti and so much of the awesome food you've just gotten to try. I miss good snacks. Still enjoyed seeing you try snacks that are really commonplace to me :)

The gingerbread things are sold in Lidl and Aldi, I've seen them in Lidl all year round. Not sure about Aldi though, I think they're a german Christmas treat.

I think what you called mouse is actually mousse (the french foamy stuff) and stangerl means sticklet (or just stick) I know that because I am fluent in austrian and english (one parent from each country)

It's so funny to watch that and it reminds me of the exchange student from Brazil I had in my school last year I think after about two weeks he never ate with his host family again I allays cooked traditional carinthian or Austrian food for him and idk how often I made 'Kasnudl' which is a traditional carinthian dish and it's kinda like noodles filled with cottage cheese, potatoes and peppermint and you eat it either just boiled with butter or roasted with butter..... but it's really good and he loved it....

Lebkuchen is my favourite especially the dark chocolate heart ones with apricot jam in the middle :) These sell out fast in the supermarket though.

My local bavarian bakery makes Schokobananen (chocolate bananas). They are banana halves on a harder buscuity dough with jelly on it and topped with chocolate. They do dark, milk and white chocolate ones but I think the dark ones are the real great ones and they are also the ones that people from further away come to that bakery for. The white ones are way too sweet imo.

I´m from Austria and here its illegal to open "Mannerschnitten" like that. There is a law on how to open it (the traditional way) and you could go to jail or pay a fee if you do it like that.

i can't stand marzipan but mozartkugeln are the only kind of marzipan i like usually marzipan is made form almonds and sugar but those got like one half almond marzipan and the other half pistachio marzipan which is pretty nice

I'm very surprised you liked Manner so much, I think it's a pretty average biscuit... also, maybe that's because I had too much of them (for they're quite cheap), but as of now I'm nauseated just by looking at that package. Also since Red Bull was evoked, I'd like to mention that world-famous Pez candies are originally Austrian too.
