Great vid, I have put a deposit on a 2018 1260 with 20k miles just had the Desmo service and has full Ducati service history it is £9k.
@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes2 жыл бұрын
Thanks :) You did well to get a 1260 at £9000! but as predicted... as soon as the V4 came out, the prices for the 1200 and 1260 would drop quite a bit, as people trade up for the newer model. Have fun with it, and ride safe 😁

I can really relate to your comments around power. I ride a Moto Guzzi V85TT here in New Zealand and the far lower power level actually makes it a nicer machine to ride than other more powerful bikes. I've always liked the Multistradas - Indeed I rode a 950 model a couple of years ago and thought that it had all the power you'd ever want on the road. Enjoy and I look forward to seeing more videos abut this one. Try a V85TT and see what you think.

There might well be a Moto Guzzi coming to the channel next Year 😁

Just saw this. Wow 6500. You can sell that now for 8500. Great review. Thinking of getting one soon. 👍🏼

Yes I won't find another One with this service history and Mileage again at that price! but...... I am just about to release something very similar Gary, so if you enjoyed this, then look out for the new videos coming soon 😁😁

Just to let you know brake fluid is normally done at desmo service oh after 1000 miles or so you get used to the riding position. If you find the throttle snatches in sport mode you can fit a spacer in the throttle linkage. The start up is also normal as the bike is set up to do 1 engine rotation before attempting to fire, swapped the battery on mine before found this out. Ride safe and enjoy the Multi

Good move getting the top end done while it was in for belts. They often need a few shims, so I wouldn't worry about that.

Yeah still a good price compared to a full Desmo 😀

@@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes especially if you can do the rest yourself. It's well worth giving the rear hub a strip and clean. It's obviously seen a bit of UK winter salt judging by the reflector bracket from your first video, and they can collect crap, corrode and seize 👍
@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes3 жыл бұрын
@@BikesCarsandChat Yes all the hard tech work was done for under £500 so I "should" be able to do the rest 🙂

You got a abnormally good deal. I could have gotten a similar deal but financing wasnt an option. I ended up getting. 2010 for $7k... still got 11k miles before it needs the service.
@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes2 жыл бұрын
I agree the deal was very good, even with the additional £500 service needed! I shouldf have kept this One :(

@@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes maybe. Afyer the service you could probably vet all your money back and buy a newer one. The 2020 right before the V4 I hear is a fan favorite. If you wwnt a new V4 you might as well go with the BMW. The BMW and the newer V4 are stupid expensive. Hard to find a multistrada 2020. Everyone wants to keep it.

@@niteowl9733 I have been considering the 1260 or the KTM 1290 GT - Not a massive fan of the BMW (new video on the GS1200 Coming very soon)

@@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes 2 of my favorite youtube riders took out the bikes head to head. Off road. Town. Track. Tour. They road the crap out of the bikes. The GS ultimately beat the new v4 at almost everything. Neither of the bikes lived up to their claimed HP. Their both really good. I guess if you like the way the multi looks get it. The GS was "better" it an extreme competition. The GS doesn't have adaptive cruise either.

I just got one of these a few weeks ago. A 2016 with 20000 miles for £5100. It's a cat N though, but only had a few scratches and a broken hand guard. Desmo service was done a few hundred miles ago so really chuffed with that. Maybe you should do a video or two about cat N bikes, there can be great savings to be had.

They don’t need to lock the cams in a belt change!
@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes2 жыл бұрын
Well acording to the Ducati dealer they do, this is the DVT so maybe it's not needed on the Tes2 engines?
@chrispack31312 жыл бұрын
@@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes Yes the dealer will use the excuse it’s needed but if doing it DIY you just need to ensure the cams & crank doesn’t move. Ride safe

5 years to ride 20k miles? I don’t think I ride enough and I usually do 15k a year. But I’m in America
@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes2 жыл бұрын
Yeah we don't ride that much here in the UK unless it's for commuting, or if we're lucky a tour of somewhere, we are just a small island after all 😁
