Nice. I'm a chrome lover. I live in Australia. I've got a bike in the shed lathered in chrome. It hasn't had the luxury of living in a dry environment, despite what you might think. It's lived for most of its 9 years in the sub tropics, by the sea, which is a recipe for rust. Now it's living in a dry summer/ humid winter environment. The previous owner ingeniously winterised the bike simply with WD 40. Yes, it's a PITA to clean down when the weather warms up, but there is not a spec of rust or deterioration of any sort on the bike. The chrome looks like it came out of the factory yesterday.

I think, particularly for the money paid, that is a well built and reliable bike . Its a proper bike. Well done. As, you said, maybe I am nitpicking here though, the amount of chrome parts is the main downside. A cracking bike though.

I'd say it's more of the modern classic style than the old muscle bikes. Either way I think they're one of the absolutely best looking bikes ever made.

Yes I do like the looks on this One, maybe a bit too much chrome, but overall it's pretty handsome 🙂

Gorgeous. And a bargain. These are rare as hen's teeth in NZ. Not too much chrome at all. It's a classic. And it has the Arrows as well. Plus luggage. The screen is fine if you actually want to ride somewhere further than around the block. Lucky devil.

Had the 2018 Triumph speedmaster with loads and loads of chrome, it´s a full time job to keep the pitting and rust from them, even when just using as a summer bike. These most definitely are not bikes you just ride and put away, you have to be meticulous (and I was) with the constant cleaning and oiling, and they don´t agree with standing outside even when under cover.. I spent more time cleaning that bike than riding it, at least this Honda has alloy wheels instead of chrome spoked wheels .. but never again will I have a bike with any chrome.

@@34979Charlie Totally agree, Chrome on a new (retro) bike can be a nightmare, and almost tries too hard to look like a classic, not something I would have chosen new from a showroom, but at this price I couldn't resist 😁

Yep. Nice bike at good price. I think one of the criticisms of this year was a small fuel tank? Made it larger shortly afterwards. I used to have a 2016 model in yellow - my favourite colour. Not popular at the time but I reckon they are going to be very popular soon.Prefer the original twin exhausts for that "classic" look myself. Good buy! 👍

They are a rock solid machine be it slightly "vanilla" but quality is right up there like most Honda's, I have a 2013 model running a single Yoshimura exhaust very fruity sound, although would love the stainless 4into4 by Pipemasters Australia, they look and sound stunning, as for the carrier and bag brackets on yours they kinda upset the styling but I guess if you are going to tour then practicality is the key, for me it's just a Sunday indulgence, cheers.

@@richardorosso7377 Well it seems whenever I give my "honest opinion" on any motorcycle, it upsets someone, people (owners of the bike) like to hear only positive reviews, it's very rare that any KZbin reviews talk about any negative aspects, or how they personally feel about a bike, I own all the vehicles I review, and paid for them with my own money, therefore I feel I can give a more honest review. But most review channels get a bike for a 30 minute ride, and base everything off that, I on the other hand like to think I can give a more subjective review. Which a lot of people don't seem to liike unfortunately for my channel 🤣 I can only go by how a bike feels to me, I'm not being tempted to give anything a glowing report just to keep the dealer happy..... in the hope they let me test more bikes in the future.

Title change needed, not 1300 That is a brilliant price for a wonderful bike (you have the price in the title even though you said you wouldn't say 😃) . It went six speed in 2014 but the 5-speed owners don't have an issue. Yes, dump the screen.😃. 1140cc, utterly reliable, smooth. Honda's Bonneville and as such not especially practical but a wonder nonetheless.😃 Have the 2017.

Did you do a HPI check before purchasing? It may be cheap for a reason.

Yes I ALWAYS do a full HPi check on anything I buy, and it came back clean on this bike, but thanks for the advice 😀

They're just over 4k at a dealers, I'm looking for one myself and found a couple of old ads where the owners have given up and used we buy any bike and gotten 2,800 and 3200. I'm pretty sure I'll get one myself for around the 3500 mark.
