I had a test ride of this. Man oh man, I couldn't get off from it. It's so good. It has comfort of Himalayan seat, smoothness of honda cb350, power of a duke 390 and pleasure like an interceptor. Gears are tall, no knocking, maneuvers like a Messi on field, pulls harder than a machine gun trigger and feels like a dragon you're flying on that's completely in your control. It's so good!

I'm the proud owner of the first one to arrive here on Tenerife! It was made for these roads and I'm grinning ear to ear on it! I also like the styling and the gold anodised forks, after all it is a "MODERN CLASSIC! My first Triumh was a 3TA followed by a ex police T100P in Ireland 40+ years ago and this is my return to biking after a 20 year gap with just a few spins on borrowed machines. I'm looking forward to having a lot of great runs on this one. Love your channel guys, 95% of what you say I agree with but I do think the styling has to move ahead. Keep up the good work.

I’m stuck between RE METEOR vs Scrambler 400
@thekushinator
@thekushinator 9 ай бұрын
@@PiyushPatel10 No reason to get stuck between the two. You need to decide what type of a bike you want....cruiser vs a scrambler. Test ride both and see what connects with you. Bike geometry and riding style is more important than many of us in India acknowledge.

@@thekushinator I've been an active driver for the past 10 years, primarily using a car and scooter.activa and occasionally a Splendor bike. I'm currently confused between the RE Meteor/bullet & Triumph scrambler 400 I test rode seven motorcycles: Honda Highness, CB 350, Royal En-field Classic, Bullet, and Meteor and both triumphs After the rides, I've narrowed down to three: 1) RE Bullet, 2) RE Meteor, and 3) Triumph Scrambler 400. The Honda, especially CB 350, lost appeal due to an annoying sound and gear Among RE models, Meteor stood out for comfort. Initially leaning towards the Classic, the Bullet seemed more appealing after tests, possibly due to the seat and handlebar. Strangely, the Classic caused lower spine discomfort, maybe due to a softer seat. Planning six or more years of ownership, I'll conduct more extensive test rides with pillion , covering 8+ km for Meteor, Bullet, and Triumph Scrambler.. In the city, any of these seems suitable. But it is almost like my first bike and my priorities are not set, who knows if i buy meteor i go for cruising, or srambler then country roads.

Spectacular presentation. I like to have a lightweight dual-purpose/Scrambler type machine to ride. I switch up from Harleys to a 250cc dual purpose I ride now which is adequate at about 19 horsepower how I use it. Having 40 horsepower & 28 torque from a 400cc engine is enticing. The weight of this Triumph is only about 70 pounds over my 250cc bike. Triumph nailed it.

Great review. This is the pick of the two 400's for me. If this bike was around a couple of years ago I think I would have stretched the back balance a bit more and picked this up over my Meteor 350. With the 40HP it'd take longer to outgrow the bike too I think. Also, as an aside, really like the filming and editing on your vids. Great job.

With so many channels now gushing about the Royal Enfield's it was good to hear your honest opinion about the RE 350's being underpowered. I think Triumph have nailed it with this gorgeous 400 scrambler. It sits perfectly in the range now - I wonder if they will ever consider a 125? Your video's are just getting better and better and for entertaining content I don't miss any of them. Exquisite review. This bike is a 19 year old's dream. What an amazing first bike it would be. Very little kudos deficit, if any, in fact I think you would get some envious looks from more experienced bikers on bigger machines.. The seat finishes it off perfectly and the colour suits the brand the bike down to the ground. I am tempted to trade my Speed Twin in for one of these or buy one in India and ride in back!

It is always a joy to see your enthusiasm with these new bikes! It is also exciting for me to see you in Spain. The roads there look absolutely fantastic with fresh and smooth blacktop even through the center of the villages. I suspect this is something new since they became part of the European Union. These countries used to be much poorer and could not afford to maintain the roads like this. The mudguards look much longer and with the added extender this would be great for keeping clean. The more upright seating position looks better for your height and frame. I understand what you mean with soaking up the bumps as I purchased a Multistrada last year and the bumps seem to disappear with the bigger forks and tougher suspension. I agree with you on the gaudy shiny yellow forks! I don’t care who disagrees with me since I like to keep the multicolored show to a minimum. I suggest you lean more into the curves while keeping the bike more upright and then you won’t overshoot your lane! Be careful out there especially in bad weather! The pricing is simply amazing considering how much things cost these days! Eggs here in Miami have more than doubled in two years, but Triumph manages to offer a value price point!

You are right on the forks. They don't look toooo bad but would be a lot better in a silver or black. The main thing I think is a shame on this bike and the speed 400 is the speedo surround and needle, both look like the cheapest plastic sprayed with any old paint that had "silver" written on the can. Big shame. If they brought out a black speedo surround to stop drawing attention to it then that would be great.

Looks like a great little package. I think silver forks rather than gold would fit in better with the rest of the lines though.

Black forks for sure. And single piece flat seat would be better than the 2 piece sporty looking seat.

Thank you for an excellent review of both 400s and can I say how professional your shoot was ,as for myself I should have waited before buying my interceptor,its done 1100 miles and is troublesome and the quality is just not there either,mine is rusting up and the engine covers are badly pitted already despite me cleaning it off every outing and the weight is as much as a ships anchor ,it has a very uncomfortable saddle too ,it does looks good and rides ok although leisurely, anyhoo my fault for listening to anti anything triumph Stuart Fillingham who said it would vibrate ,be uneconomical ,wouldnt have a good finish etc etc ,i note he hasnt apologised to Triumph ,so i am going to chop in my year old RE and get a speed 400 ,cant wait ......

I agree about the front forks. I think the gold anodized finish has been played out.

I am quite intrigued by this one. I think I will wait until the aftermarket picks up for it, but I think I would really like it. The price is actually quite good so far.

Definitely better looking than the Speed version, although it would look even better if it had spoke rims, if I was in the market for a small capacity runaround bike then this would be top of the list 👍

Nice review Darcy, I definately like the styling of the Scrambler over the Speed so now I'm just waiting for a review of the Himalayan for comparison, both Bikes have a lot of style and it might just come down to the cost in the end. Test rides to book for spring I think.

Great review of this and also the Speed 400. these are good looking bikes, I think I like the Scrambler out of the two. As for the gold forks, I don't mind them but for a naked bike like this they just stand out too much and don't go with any other colours on the bike, black would be better. Maybe I am just too old and the target buyer likes them.

Green with a brown seat, looks great, maybe this is your next bike? I'm sure it wouldn't hurt your channel, plenty of people following Triumph and especially these new 400's. I agree the gold forks aren't nice. They don't suit the bike. Royal Enfield must be very worried, I don't think it will be too long before we see the new 450 Himalayan engine fitted to some of there smaller road bikes like the Hunter.

Wish they had the 650 twin engine mated to the 500 comfortable ergos and looks.. Though in the looks dept the Inty is no slouch either..neat compact classic...in case u are willing to forget about some quirky ergos

The Triumph 400 looks really good and will be a big seller. Big competition for Royal Enfield. Credit to Triumph that have come along way. It is manufactured in Thailand and is real competition against the Thai manufactured Honda CB300R.

You could carbon wrap the forks, it would stop any damage to the gold anodising during your ownership as well.

I agree that some blacked out forks would look better. When you step away from the bike it’s really the only thing that looks foreign to the rest of the bike in my opinion. I get where some may like the look because it makes them “pop” but that’s where it takes it away for me. For me it’s almost as if they put the whole bike together and then said oh crap we forgot the forks, you know what we have some left over here in the garage, let’s just use those on the look of it all. It just doesn’t flow with the rest of the look. To each their own and I don’t want to yuk someone else’s yum…just my opinion.

I think it would be interesting to see you do a preview of the new Royal Enfield Himalayan, because you have ridden on the others, and because most adventure bikes spend most of there time on the bitumen. I also read a story from a guy that rode one and then changed his order for the 650. He said it felt odd with steering (maybe he had not ridden a 21 inch front wheel bike) and the fly by wire throttle was odd, which is maybe just getting use to it.
