What a fantastic looking (and sounding!) bike. You can keep your clip ons all to yourself, and while I'm at it, you can keep the "shorty" front guard, but these are personal preferences. Plenty will love the bike just the way it is. I might yet be proven wrong, but I really feel that bikes of this nature are going to be the salvation of motorcycling. We have obsessed far to long with "numbers", when it comes to bikes. How light, how powerful, how fast... who cares. If you can move it around the garage and it keeps up with the traffic, and your mates on sneaky pint run, that's enough performance, right there. If you can do that, and the bike is cheap enough to buy and maintain and it's a whole lot of fun, then welcome to what motorcycles are meant to be. If that's not your thing, just buy a fast car, you're not really a biker, at all.

Quite a nice one, and tastefully made. Would call this "The working man's Thruxton". First thing to customize would really be the radiatior, which looks leave quite a bit to be desired in my opionion. Maybe it's possible to fit a Trumph radiator to these bikes?
@ColSnders9 ай бұрын
Well said mate. There's no getting round the need for a radiator these days, but Triumph seems to have got it right. How difficult would it be for BSA to engineer a taller one that actually fits between the frame tubes? That said, I thought all three of the custom Gold Stars Darcy reviewed were brilliant - especially this cafe racer style one. Interesting to note they were invited onto the BSS stand at the show to demonstrate what is possible.

I own the GoldStar and have done for just 1 year so what do I think, well some bits i like but a lot i don't. @olethorhermansen56969 ай бұрын
Very cool design. That tiny front mudguard is a miss though, it just looks silly and doesn't match the classic cafe racer style, a classic cromed one would look much better. And for some reason the big radiator is more visible on this one than on the two scramblers, they seem to have given it a light coloured protector? A dark one would have been better. Apart from that a cool (and a bit too loud) cafe racer.
@chrisdagnall86669 ай бұрын
Another stunning looking bike, I think the second one would be my favourite. On this one the radiator does stand out more than the others and this one seems to have a silver guard and the others are black making it less noticeable. I wonder if rear set pegs would finish the riding position off.

That exhaust is particularly stunning!! If i was to ever get a bsa goldstar id love to fit one on it. Apart from the fact its apparently "competition use only" a big part of me is tempted to say screw it and buy the exhaust anyway.

Every modified BSA you’ve shown has the same issue to my eyes, namely the huge gap between the engine and frame, with the stock exhaust it’s hidden but not so once the down pipe is altered, apart from that it looks great 👍 (Maybe a perforated alloy plate could be used to hide the gap?, similar hole pattern to the cover on the injector, maybe?, maybe not? 🙂). P.S. How about fill that under engine gap with a bespoke radiator!!!, get rid of the oversize standard one, perfect world 👍

Is it me or did the bike @ 14:53 cut out when you tried to rev match? If it did it appears it does so when warm too. I’ve ridden a stock one and it doesn’t behave this way which suggests the custom build mods are causing it, possibly lack of back pressure with that free flowing exhaust would be my guess. I’d call that pretty dangerous if it occurred in the middle of a junction.

What made me laugh was when you said about wearing one the bullocks family members, it reminded me of when my wife and i had a holiday cottage on a farm in Devon. They had some sheep, and on the last night before coming home, we all went out for a meal, where i had a lamb shank. When we got back to the cottage, some sheep were standing beside the fence, when i said "hello mate, i`ve just eaten your cousin". I bet the snowflakes won`t like it? 😂😂😂. Great vid, and even though i`m no fan of the new Mahindra BSA range, i do think Moorspeed have done a good job improving the looks on all three models.

Too uncomfortable for such as I. Even when young (decades ago) I didn’t like Clip-on bars and rear-set pegs. It makes a motorbike too uncomfortable in the same way Ape-hangers and waaaaaaaay forward pegs do for Harleys. This is a fine example of what some would call “form follows function” because I have never needed to be in the monkey-humping-a-football position to ride any bike anywhere. That watch is excellente’! I like watches and wear them daily as I loathe having to check my phone for the time. That is something no MAN should ever do, let alone want to do! Back to the bike! If I were 50 years younger I would happily own a BSA like this one but it would doubtless be a standard model and perhaps mildly done up with cosmetic bits to suit my taste. I don’t care for real LOUD exhausts but that is my preference. Scramblers were the most popular model of motorbike in the sixties and seventies and with good reason. Cafe racers weren’t because they were just too uncomfortable for the real world. This BSA easily makes that Honda abomination “scrambler” look like what it is - CRAP. The BSA is beautiful. Honda must’ve asked some chemically castrated morons what a scrambler looks like and took their advice. BSA annd Moore’s asked Men. Well done on this look at this Cafe’ BSA. Moore seems to do a good job and as I said, it ain’t my cup o’ tea but that doesn’t mean it’s not someone else’s preference. SS

Once you’ve seen it, it just cannot be unseen, it is truly the elephant in the room. The massive ugly radiator reminds me of the front end of a Mack truck and it completely ruins what is otherwise a really good looking machine, it would certainly stop me buying the bike. Surely someone can design a smaller more elegant after market solution as it seems the manufacturer is oblivious to the problem or perhaps they forgot to look at the bike from either front quarter before putting it on sale?
@paulcooper56109 ай бұрын
" none of that matters" if you're a young man, I can't see a lot of the older guy's going for the clip on café look as it's not the kindest position to be sat in on a motorcycle, although it does look much cooler than the stock look. Must be honest the radiator is still the biggest problem for the looks, I'd still prefer to buy a classic as for me it has to be air cooled to look right. I'm not even sure about the new Moto Guzzi's being water cooled , doesn't sound or look right to me.
