I love my classic 350. It’s my all year everyday commuter. Run from Bath to Salisbury every day down the A roads. The classic 350 definitely does 70mph without much trouble. Takes a moment to get there but it does it and it does it with such character. I would definitely recommend the first thing you do when owning this bike is fit a performance air filter. Completely changes the performance of the bike and gives you a little ooomph and more character. I can’t recommend the RE 350 enough.

As I mentioned previously I had a 350 in this exact colorway in Thailand in 2022. I fell in love, and it was still in the crate at the time. All I could see was that dark green and copper on the tank. Everything you have said about it is true, it's a pretty much do anything bike. I added a rear rack and sump guard to mine, and that was all I needed. During the Royal Enfield One Ride with our local RE club in Pattaya, I did meet a rider on a modified 350. He had the "ape hanger," bars and the "cat delete," pipe that replaces the catalytic converter. His exhaust note was quite lovely. 😍 It didn’t quite have the same voice as the Bullet 500 bikes in our group of fifty, but the 350 still sounded very good. I think the catalytic delete pipe is available from Hitchcocks in the UK, but probably won't make Miss Nanny’s approval at inspections. 🙄 Great series, cheers!

in 1955 these were teated in the mighty himalayan mountains by the armed forces- heavy weight ensures good offroad stability against uneven terrains 2. it has more torque back then at around 32 nm so the engines ability to pull uphill instantly was more, So it was a great bike for that purpose and alowly over the decades it evolved to suit indian conditions. that same engine was in production till 2007 and is the most sweetest thumping engine -the Cast iron one beforw the UCE and J series but has many issues❤ it is the safest bike for india coz entire street hears the sound so everyone is cautious, no other bike maker gives so much metal and at so much weight and toughness right now in india ❤❤
@BlueRidgeRider5 күн бұрын
The Goan is gorgeous! It would be a simple matter to mount Meteor foot controls on a Classic if you find your legs are too long for a normal sized motorcycle. The bottom “frame rail” is actually bolted on and only serves as a place to mount the pegs. The Hunter doesn’t even have that rail since its rearset pegs mount to the actual frame. Same with the handlebars. You’ll probably have to extend the wires and cables but that is a small price to pay to make the bike fit you. All bikes need tubeless wheels. Twice I have changed the rear tube on my Classic 350 on the side of the road. If it were tubeless I could have plugged it and been on my way in minutes.

I went in reverse till l rode a 125 from Leeds to Spain, l think these 350's are the do it all sweet spot, and tbh these wanky guided tour "over landers" on hugely complicated & expensive bikes would be well to consider what they actually need for a fun long trip.

I have had the misfortune of sharing the road with dumb f#%ks and had 2 collisions, once being rear ended when giving way at a roundabout and also had someone coming in the opposite direction do a right hand turn in front of me at last moment. The Bear would be awesome!! The 350 is a lovely bike! Relaxed, easy to ride, and very capable. The only thing that went wrong with the bikes (there were 8 on the trip), was a couple of loose mirrors; thats it! We never once looked at the speedometer! Unlike the UK where one has to be very conscious of speed, in case of getting photographed, in India your entire concentration capacity is looking where you are going, so we felt safer ironically than at home.
