Those bikes are great, I own classic 350 and ride it in UK every day, whole year, incredible, economic, robust, extremely comfortable, easy to fix, and not much to break.

But you need 100bhp!!!!!!!!! Amazing how the 350 keeps pace with the litre bikes when those yellow poles are around. Which is everywhere in the UK

As always chaps, spot on. I took my bike test on my 16th birthday. I ride 365 days a year, commute, pleasure etc, every day for the last 36 years... two stroke sports, Harleys, Vepsa's, off road Beemers, Fireblades, Tourers, naked roadsters, cafe racers, I've had them all, 47 owned and still going... my FAVOURITE bike of all time is my 350 Classic... out of everything... it just is the essence of riding... end of story!

Greetings and thank you for this much appreciated video, I ride in France with a Royal Enfield Classic 350 Signal Marsh Grey, it's a real pleasure, I'm in the countryside and I equipped it with Heideneau K60 and K60 Scout tires and reinforced air chambers to cover the paths, I really go everywhere for my bivouacs lost in nature. she's a happiness machine and she meets a lot of sympathy when I meet people

I love my classic 350. It’s my all year everyday commuter. Run from Bath to Salisbury every day down the A roads. The classic 350 definitely does 70mph without much trouble. Takes a moment to get there but it does it and it does it with such character. I would definitely recommend the first thing you do when owning this bike is fit a performance air filter. Completely changes the performance of the bike and gives you a little ooomph and more character. I can’t recommend the RE 350 enough.

I've had my Royal Enfield Classic 500 since new in 2017 and very much like it. Now it one of four or five bikes a ride so it only has 5800 miles on it. Strangely I've never had to adjust the chain which is crazy. Your series on these bikes in India is probably the best review and test a viewer could get. Thanks boys.

As I mentioned previously I had a 350 in this exact colorway in Thailand in 2022. I fell in love, and it was still in the crate at the time. All I could see was that dark green and copper on the tank. Everything you have said about it is true, it's a pretty much do anything bike. I added a rear rack and sump guard to mine, and that was all I needed. During the Royal Enfield One Ride with our local RE club in Pattaya, I did meet a rider on a modified 350. He had the "ape hanger," bars and the "cat delete," pipe that replaces the catalytic converter. His exhaust note was quite lovely. 😍 It didn’t quite have the same voice as the Bullet 500 bikes in our group of fifty, but the 350 still sounded very good. I think the catalytic delete pipe is available from Hitchcocks in the UK, but probably won't make Miss Nanny’s approval at inspections. 🙄 Great series, cheers!

The rims, carb and some other parts were all Made in England! Flat mudguards. Lower posture. One heavy crank and you could ride it at 15 MPH on the 4th gear!

I’ve never really thought about mudguards before, but I recently had a chance to ride all my bikes over the same route on the same day. Roads were damp and dirty. The FatBoy and Himalayan, and even a Vespa scooter all needed cleaning afterwards but the Classic 350 hadn’t a mark on it!

Having the HIM 411 I can add: you need extensions for the mudguards! Then it'll be o.k. - not perfectly good but far better than modern motorbike - except RE classic (and perhaps some Indian models with their historical looks.

Hard to argue against the versatility of the Classic 350, though I would need it to be bigger. I hope RE does sell the Goa version worldwide, as that would be fantastic for the taller western riders. I rented the re 350 classic and 350 meteor earlier this year on a trip in Rajastan. The Meteor have the foot pegs moved forward compared to the Classic. So if you are over 170-175 cm definately go for the Meteor. Much more comfortable for a taller rider. Royal enfield should have thought about this before giving you the bikes...😅😅

in 1955 these were teated in the mighty himalayan mountains by the armed forces- heavy weight ensures good offroad stability against uneven terrains 2. it has more torque back then at around 32 nm so the engines ability to pull uphill instantly was more, So it was a great bike for that purpose and alowly over the decades it evolved to suit indian conditions. that same engine was in production till 2007 and is the most sweetest thumping engine -the Cast iron one beforw the UCE and J series but has many issues❤ it is the safest bike for india coz entire street hears the sound so everyone is cautious, no other bike maker gives so much metal and at so much weight and toughness right now in india ❤❤

@BlueRidgeRider 5 күн бұрын
The Goan is gorgeous! It would be a simple matter to mount Meteor foot controls on a Classic if you find your legs are too long for a normal sized motorcycle. The bottom “frame rail” is actually bolted on and only serves as a place to mount the pegs. The Hunter doesn’t even have that rail since its rearset pegs mount to the actual frame. Same with the handlebars. You’ll probably have to extend the wires and cables but that is a small price to pay to make the bike fit you. All bikes need tubeless wheels. Twice I have changed the rear tube on my Classic 350 on the side of the road. If it were tubeless I could have plugged it and been on my way in minutes.

Great vid. 👍 I used to do a lot of long tours, on tourers like Pan Europeans & Gtr1000's and they are great at getting there but shit when you are there and pretty shit as day to day bikes too. I went in reverse till l rode a 125 from Leeds to Spain, l think these 350's are the do it all sweet spot, and tbh these wanky guided tour "over landers" on hugely complicated & expensive bikes would be well to consider what they actually need for a fun long trip.

The 350 Classics are very strong too. I have had the misfortune of sharing the road with dumb f#%ks and had 2 collisions, once being rear ended when giving way at a roundabout and also had someone coming in the opposite direction do a right hand turn in front of me at last moment. On both occasions despite the force of the impact, no major structural damage to the bike. The Mudguards were bent especially in the latter, but the frame and forks got through fine.

The Bear would be awesome!! The 350 is a lovely bike! Relaxed, easy to ride, and very capable. The only thing that went wrong with the bikes (there were 8 on the trip), was a couple of loose mirrors; thats it! We never once looked at the speedometer! Unlike the UK where one has to be very conscious of speed, in case of getting photographed, in India your entire concentration capacity is looking where you are going, so we felt safer ironically than at home.

I really like your videos and they were also one of the reasons why I bought a T100 :D

Scooty is better than any bike for Indian cities, towns, and Off Road because of the low centre of gravity, manoeuvrability, fuel economy, luggage capacity and comfort, but having said that, the classic 350 is a close second. Also great economy, comfort and reliability.

70mph is 4500rpm in 5th gear. This is very comfortable for the J350 engine. The only restriction of getting there from 60 to 70 fast may be the restricted intake cover. br,

The throttle body is tiny and limiting as well, I wonder if the 411 throttle body would work giving more midrange grunt.

They do look achingly cool chugging through the Indian countryside, perhaps less so on the North Circular on a wet February evening. I know everyone goes on and on about spoked tubeless rims, but I can't help but feel it's the latest fad. I mean, how many people know how to fix a puncture, tubed or tubeless, and how often are people getting things stuck in their tyres. How many punctures were there on your trip?

Not one punture or issue with any of the bikes on the tour. Just a couple of mirrors come loose on the bikes 👍🏼

@MrDarcy-OlMan if there's a mark of reliability, it's how does a rental bike stand up. I'm so tempted, what I'd really like would be a 350 Trials bike, with an aluminium tank, long alloy mudguards, trials tyres and a lightness that the Classic lacks. BAAK did a trials version of the old 500, it features in their Three Of A Kind video. Now a modern 350cc version of that would be the perfect partner to my Triumph Scrambler 900.

My classic 350 got a puncture between Paonta Sahib and Solan. I had tools and could’ve taken off the front wheel and hitched for assistance, but I got lucky and found a tire wallah before it fully deflated. Just a guy living under a tarpaulin with his family by the side of the road.
